Thought I'd toss up the Game Thread a little early
Road game, ESPN prime time, this one’s big. Apparently, AD may be playing after all. Posey will get his ring pre-game.

hahaha
woooo!
Any posting of Peja pictures will result in random comments by me. My apologies. Though, I’m guessing you guys don’t mind the wasted bandwith.
Donte? Donte'! Donté?!?!

That sucks...
Gonna miss those blocks and offensive rebounds.

Really nice start vs. KG and Kendrick
0 fouls
by atthehive on Dec 12, 2008 7:16 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
That was the kind of foul by Marks...
…that Byron likes to reward by immediate benching.

Can't even remember the last time I complained about refs
But not a big fan of the officiating that quarter. Big Baby clearly sliding on that “charge”, Paul gets tackled in the backcourt no call, Allen gets “fouled” in the lane. This should not be a tie game. They’re the better team, but we outplayed them in the 1st and got nothing for it.

I thought the fouls and shots kind of evened out.
We started getting all the goodness, and then the ended with it.

West can hopefully heat up a bit
We need him to sustain us as this game goes on.

Better hold on here
Crowd in the game for the first time

Why were five guys worried about Perkins in the paint?

Man, Hilton has been playing real nice tonight
by atthehive on Dec 12, 2008 7:58 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Even his turnover..
..was really a great move on his man, and the guard tapped the ball out.

Well there's one for the Chris Paul highlight archive
Speaking of which, I need to update some time…

Man, good on Hilton
Again he comes through
by atthehive on Dec 12, 2008 8:07 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Are you kidding?
We held the Celtics (of NBA Finals glory) to 39 points in a half… without Tyson. We’re doing great. Paul just needs to foul a little less.

Bill Walton:
“Chris Paul is Mozart. Playing the Turkish Rondo.”

LOL
Hilton dunks and pops KG in the face. There’s your toughness

I'm praying this isn't the start of a Boston pull away
Someone needs to come through right here. Paul, West, Peja… anyone.

What the hell kind of plays are these?
West stands still for 6 seconds until Armstrong decides to chuck up 15 footers? Seriously Byron?
by atthehive on Dec 12, 2008 8:41 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Big shot from DX
Maybe we see CP close out this game after than 7-8 minute rest in the first half
by atthehive on Dec 12, 2008 8:50 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
So...
…Marks before Ely, and Brown before Peterson. Why not just leave CP out for the next seven minutes and put in AD?
by m-W on Dec 12, 2008 8:52 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Do you have to "declare" whether a player is available before a game?
Or is it somewhat possible that we can see Daniels tonight? But I’m with you on Marks before Ely. Ely played well and moved around in the first half. Marks has struggled to rebound, score, defend, everything really.
by atthehive on Dec 12, 2008 8:55 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
If you're dressed, you're "declared." You can dress and play up to 12.
by m-W on Dec 12, 2008 8:57 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Interesting
So Daniels is technically available…

Yeesh
Pejas has played 21 minutes and attempted 2 threes, in the middle of a super hot shooting stretch. Beautiful.

4 team fouls with 9 minutes to go.....
Long road back for us if we’re gonna win this one.
by atthehive on Dec 12, 2008 9:07 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Byron has completely lost his mind.
No Mo. No Hilton. Mo got 16 the other night and looked great. Hilton has been on a force. Yet we’re getting Brown and Marks. Posey’s a good 3 shooter, but why not more Rasual and Peja? What the hell?
by m-W on Dec 12, 2008 9:07 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
ESPN really, really sucks on replays tonight.
There have been several calls or no-calls that I would’ve liked a second look at, and no luck.
by m-W on Dec 12, 2008 9:12 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Why is Peja not in this ball game?
This is totally inexcusable
by atthehive on Dec 12, 2008 9:15 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
OMG
I thought they were not going to give Posey that foul.

byrons rotation was horrible
the players didn’t match for what was going on in the game at the time. we took out hilton who was a rebonder to put in marks
by Ace Boogie on Dec 12, 2008 9:53 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
we were saying that
ALL NIGHT. And the shooters weren’t put back in when they needed shooting. And look what we get: a perfect 3 kickout to Brown who of course bricks it. I won’t say outcoached, because I don’t believe Doc does that much coaching, but… I’ll say I disagreed with Byrons’ decisions.

i didn't expect juju to do much in limited minutes
he was thrown into a tough situation with the pressure of not making a mistake. byron can be very stubborn sometimes.

FREEJULIAN.COM was wrong
I’m starting FREEMOPETE.COM
Why? Devin Brown. Why? I will not easily forgive BS for this.

Seriously, what was UP with Mo not playing
JuJu whatever. He’s given out the excuse. Is he “fearful” of Peterson’s game now?
by atthehive on Dec 12, 2008 10:05 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
devin brown has been playing bad
i guess scott trusts him. mopete had a good game on wednesday yet got limited playing time. if we make any other trades we need a legit sg who can get his own shot. i still can’t get pass the rotation tonight. marks killed the momentum with a bad turnover to end the third and fouled to send the person to the line. aarghh!
by Ace Boogie on Dec 12, 2008 10:24 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
The rotation made no sense whatsoever
The guys that contributed well in the first half (Ely, Armstrong) got extremely limited or odd minutes in the second half. Peja got very, very few plays run for him. Mo-Pete was pretty much left out the rotation. The list goes on and on…

I'm glad
we’re not the only ones who noticed this. I hate to complain, but I really do feel we were not outplayed this game. The players on the floor did their best, but they just weren’t who should have logically BEEN on the floor.

I ranted on Sean Marks early
I believe he did redeem himself with several good defensive plays/blocks, but I still maintain that fouling Ray Allen behind the 3 point line is possibly the be all and end all of NBA retardation.

i hate to complain
i got my wish for a backup pg lol. byron managed the game badly and didn’t execute when we had chances.
