Chris Paul: Man of Steals
If you haven't seen this gem from John Reid's article in the Times Pic, it's worth a look. Couple of quotes from the piece were particularly nice:
"A lot of times, you can play this game your whole life and not ever accomplish anything of this magnitude like Chris' steals record, " Hornets center Tyson Chandler said. "This young man is already in the NBA history books. It's huge, and I'm just happy to be part of it. It could not have come to a guy more deserving."
When Paul entered the locker room after Wednesday's game at the New Orleans Arena, a cake and balloons were at his locker -- sent by his parents from North Carolina.
"They must have known I was going to the get the record, so they had somebody to send the cake, " Paul said, smiling. "It's an unbelievable feeling. The best thing is being around people who are happy for you."
And we are all happy for you indeed.
Oh, and you'll probably have to click to enlarge the image before you can read all of the information. Enjoy.

At the Arena
There is this “Sign Guy,” who literally has signs for every player. Last game he broke out the “Man of Steal” sign, with CP in blue spandex, a red cape, and a “3” over his chest. Not sure if that inspired Reid, or if they both just had the same idea. But the sign was cool.
That's definitely neat!
Just looked it up and Chris Paul apparently did not get a steal in Game 3 of the Dallas series. … hmmmmmmmm
They mentioned that
On TV one of the last few games… it’s one of those records where the playoffs don’t count

Yeah
Niall over at 247 has been weirded out by that. Not me. Most stat streaks in most sports work that way, for better or for worse.
Time to start a new streak
That Orlando loss will hopefully lead to bigger and better things – including a new streak. :)
I'm no commie, but the Reds shall be the best again!
