Peja's Back

Hope he can make a difference but hope he’s not coming back too soon. He said he still feels pain in the right leg which doesnt sound good to me but I guess he knows his limitations.

by RonD on Dec 28, 2008 6:05 PM CST reply actions

it was in the update article
“I’ve just been going day-by-day to see how I feel and we decided with the trainers to give it a try tonight to see how it goes,” said Stojakovic, who has converted 44 percent of his 3-point field goals in 13 games which the Hornets have won and he has played. “It feels better. I still feel a little bit (of pain in his right) leg that comes from the sciatic nerve. But it’s something that I can manage and play through and hopefully as the season goes on, I can be painless.”

by RonD on Dec 28, 2008 6:37 PM CST up reply actions

Interesting

Sciatic nerve is something that can be affected by back pressure I believe. So I don’t think it’s an unrelated injury.

by Rohan on Dec 28, 2008 6:39 PM CST up reply actions

Not a bad start really

Sad to see Tyson go down so early, but other than that we’re playing all right.

by Rohan on Dec 28, 2008 6:31 PM CST reply actions

Too many pts given up probably

I wasn’t expecting Granger to play tonight, didn’t he just sustain a concussion on Friday?

by Rohan on Dec 28, 2008 6:37 PM CST reply actions

yeah he did.

Their doing alot of back cuts that are catching Hornets off guard. They need to look out for that better.

by RonD on Dec 28, 2008 6:38 PM CST reply actions

Whoo

My flight to New Orleans was delayed, so here I am watching the game on the internet illegally again!

Lolll

Isn’t it like blizzarding there?

by Rohan on Dec 28, 2008 6:49 PM CST up reply actions

No.

It’s perfectly clear with a bazillion stars.

P.S. Mike— did you get the feed, cause I have one.

by ticktock6 on Dec 28, 2008 6:52 PM CST up reply actions

you knew going into the game

That ALL THEY DO is hit threes and long 2s. And there was no plan for this??

http://hornetshype.com

by ticktock6 on Dec 28, 2008 7:00 PM CST reply actions

This is frustrating.

We’re letting Roy Hibbert get 12 points in a half.

by Cablinasian on Dec 28, 2008 7:02 PM CST reply actions

Yeah

The Pacers are, like, twelve. We gotta have more poise than this.

by ticktock6 on Dec 28, 2008 7:03 PM CST up reply actions

Hahaha

Hibbert looks pretty good… but more pts than Paul and West combined?? Comeon guys.

by Rohan on Dec 28, 2008 7:03 PM CST up reply actions

Whoa that's true

and Dunleavy isn’t even available tonight

by Rohan on Dec 28, 2008 7:05 PM CST up reply actions

Just looked it up.

Not only can they field the whitewash, it’s kind of legitimate.

Diener, Dunleavy, McRoberts, Murphy, and Foster.

I’m in awe.

by Cablinasian on Dec 28, 2008 7:08 PM CST up reply actions

That's a historical level of excellence

The only thing I can remember that’s even close to that is Stockton/Hornaceck/Adam Keefe/Greg Foster/Greg Ostertag of the late 90’s. That’d be an awesome matchup

by Rohan on Dec 28, 2008 7:11 PM CST up reply actions

And another: early 2000's Kings

Christie/Turkoglu/Stojakovic/Scott Pollard/Vlade.

Missing a PG though, the Stockton team would tear em up.

by Rohan on Dec 28, 2008 7:14 PM CST up reply actions

God we should make this a contest

get fans of each team to submit their best all-time White team (starting in the 80’s I guess) and have a tournament.

by Rohan on Dec 28, 2008 7:15 PM CST up reply actions

Heh.

I wish there were some way to make that game happen. Greg Ostertag… youtube legend.

by Cablinasian on Dec 28, 2008 7:16 PM CST up reply actions

At a glance

We’re getting outshot, outrebounded, we’re fouling them more than they fouling us. No surprise we’re losing.

by Rohan on Dec 28, 2008 7:07 PM CST reply actions

How can a team with such a heinous record

be throttling us, have beaten the Lakers, Celtics, and Houston? Weird.

by m-W on Dec 28, 2008 7:08 PM CST reply actions

if a jumpshooting team gets hot

it’s hard to beat them… they are either on or off.

honor rasheed wallace

by Cablinasian on Dec 28, 2008 7:09 PM CST up reply actions

Yeah they're drilling the long twos

Unsustainable over a stretch of games, but in a single game anythign can happen. Ugh

by Rohan on Dec 28, 2008 7:12 PM CST up reply actions

Indiana looks

more crisp. And now Murphy has baited a Hornet into getting tossed. I like that Hilton stood up to Murphy but he couldve done that without putting hands on him

by RonD on Dec 28, 2008 7:12 PM CST reply actions

K I'm off to watch DEN-SD

I’ll jump in every once in while

by Rohan on Dec 28, 2008 7:16 PM CST reply actions

Chris Paul drives into the lane

gets a layup and a dish to Chandler.

honor rasheed wallace

by Cablinasian on Dec 28, 2008 7:26 PM CST reply actions

they aren't boxing out Hibbert.

It’s not rocket science.

honor rasheed wallace

by Cablinasian on Dec 28, 2008 7:27 PM CST up reply actions

Tighten ya D friends

That’s what needs to happen

http://hornetshype.com

by ticktock6 on Dec 28, 2008 7:27 PM CST reply actions

Ooh Hibbert out.

We have to stop all second chance points now.

honor rasheed wallace

by Cablinasian on Dec 28, 2008 7:29 PM CST reply actions

Oy

and then they lost it. And then SUUUUAALL!!

http://hornetshype.com

by ticktock6 on Dec 28, 2008 7:39 PM CST reply actions

Posey continues to show his skills . . .

 . . . on the post-ups down low. He’s killing Rush.

by m-W on Dec 28, 2008 7:50 PM CST reply actions

Posey!

Apparently can do anything. I’m not surprised. Are you?

http://hornetshype.com

by ticktock6 on Dec 28, 2008 7:52 PM CST reply actions

Peja stepping up big time

3 offensive boards in his first game back from a bad back? Nice

by Rohan on Dec 28, 2008 7:54 PM CST reply actions

Armstrong = 1 rebound in nearly 17 minutes

That’s just sad. Ely isn’t the greatest, but can’t he get a couple of minutes at least?

by Rohan on Dec 28, 2008 7:57 PM CST reply actions

I really, really want to invent a stat for this.

Tyson gets pulled to the floor on on end, enabling Pacers to get the rebound, and then run down the floor on a 5-4 and score an easy basket. Something wrong with that turnabout.

by m-W on Dec 28, 2008 7:58 PM CST reply actions

I know Jarrett Jack

and he doesn’t hit that shot. Ever.

Unbelievable.

honor rasheed wallace

by Cablinasian on Dec 28, 2008 8:01 PM CST reply actions

All right this is actually starting to get a little bit scary

5 minutes left. Chris Paul had better start shooting it if everyone else continues to miss. This would be a really, really stupid game to lose no matter how well Indiana is shooting.

by Rohan on Dec 28, 2008 8:02 PM CST reply actions

Yeah, I kept wanting CP earlier

And he hasn’t done much scoring wise.

http://hornetshype.com

by ticktock6 on Dec 28, 2008 8:04 PM CST up reply actions

Jack is really tough

he must be hurting pretty bad.

honor rasheed wallace

by Cablinasian on Dec 28, 2008 8:06 PM CST reply actions

We've taken so many shots and still not put up as many points as them.

Unless we find a way to force them to miss in the next few minutes, we’re in big trouble.

by m-W on Dec 28, 2008 8:06 PM CST reply actions

Hey

at least Brown saw little minutes lol

by RonD on Dec 28, 2008 8:13 PM CST up reply actions

I love the NBAtv bottom line

BOS 3 SAC 2
Garnett – 0 points, 0 rebounds, 0 assists.

….Thanks for the update.

honor rasheed wallace

by Cablinasian on Dec 28, 2008 8:15 PM CST reply actions

I'd guard against the 3.

You know we’re going to get it back, unless there’s a foul and a resetting of the shot clock.

by m-W on Dec 28, 2008 8:16 PM CST reply actions

Weird that Hibbert never comes back in

I know he had five fouls, but he could have given them a few minutes of rebounding and posting up.

honor rasheed wallace

by Cablinasian on Dec 28, 2008 8:17 PM CST reply actions

Great ending.

Indiana was shooting really well… this is a nice win.

honor rasheed wallace

by Cablinasian on Dec 28, 2008 8:19 PM CST reply actions

My nerves could use a good, old-fashioned blow-out.

But I’ll take it. Nice effort to keep at them all through the game and pull it out at the end.

by m-W on Dec 28, 2008 8:21 PM CST up reply actions

WHAT A GREAT GAME!!

Better that we came out on top. My goodness Pacers play hard.
CP. Poz. DWest. MONEY!!!

by RonD on Dec 28, 2008 8:21 PM CST reply actions

Oh my god

My junky feed crapped out with 1:30. I’m not kidding. Lucky the Twitter folk helped me out, along with the gamecast. Guess I’ll have to watch the highlights for that shot!!

http://hornetshype.com

by ticktock6 on Dec 28, 2008 8:26 PM CST reply actions

I doubt it had the same sense of urgency on Gamecast

Where I knew it was a final before I knew how little time was left when he hit that.
