Quick Programming Note

Happy 2009 everybody! Hope you all start off the New Year on the right foot. I will be away for the next few days, so Junsier will be taking care of the recaps at Portland, and at Denver. I've scheduled game threads to auto-publish a few hours ahead of the Friday and Saturday games. I'll see you on the 6th- hopefully you guys can ward off the impending Blazer fan invasion on Friday.

I'm out like 2008!

I'll be at the game ...

… on Friday, my first time seeing your team in action and I’m really looking forward to it. One never knows where their team stands until they play against excellent opponents and New Orleans is fantastic. Regardless if Brandon Roy plays, it promises to be a great game.

INVASION BEGUN

muahhah this is Prez from Blazers Edge. Just wanted to invade your site to say hey and good luck to you guys. Hopefully it’ll be an entertaining game. We win this, we’re right there with you in the standings. Probably not happening with Roy out, but hey, we can dream, can’t we? ;-)

May the best team win!

Blazer fan invasion begins now

Sup Hornets fans. Hornets vs. Blazers has been a back and forth affair the past two seasons. Home teams usually winning. Go Blazers

Isn't

NOH in LA?

L.A., not LA

Large difference there.

I'm going to withdraw from the invasion

Plus it may not be so bad – a lot of us are still tied up on the Celtic boards explaining why we get to close the first half with six men on the court and they don’t. Blazer fans are very angry about winning that game…

But good luck – I like your team and love your city. Was down three times in 2008 and hope I double that in ’09

My 21 year old son

just got done touring the USA with a band and his favorite city was NO – he said the food was just incredible.

Okay, so I was wrong.

There’s no stopping the Blazer invasion. Obviusly, this team has proven it can play without Roy. Also Oden looking better and better had to make it harder to care if Pryzbila plays. But hopefully, the Hornets have had it drilled into their skulls how important this road trip is and come out gunning.

Great team NO...

…best of luck on your visit to P-town and though we can’t root for a Hornets win, would sure like to see you in the Conf Finals.

cheers

Tonight should be a great game.

N.O. wants road wins. And Portland just beat the Celtics without Roy. N.O. certainly has the backcourt advantage if Roy is out again, but I think Portland will own the paint all night. I’m a N.O. fan except when they are playing my Blazers.

by tmundal on Jan 2, 2009 1:57 PM CST reply actions

Woohoo!

Should be a great game tonight. The only matchup I care about is Byron’s scowl vs Nate’s frown. An epic clash in the making.

I love the Hornets except when they’re playing the Blazers. I’m actually picking the Bees to win it all this year (after the inevitable Pistons collapse). Watch out for us in 2011 though. My thinking goes like this: Detroit SHOULD win it all, but won’t. (Breaking my heart for the 4th straight year). Bowen is finally too slow to lockdown Peja, so Hornets roll to the Finals after smashing the hated Lakers. They take out Boston in 7 in a classic that sees Garnett get bodyslammed by Tyson Chandler after KG tries to punk CP3.

Blazers: After Oden gets his feet wet this year, and gets comfortable next year, he’ll start Hulk-smashing in 2011. It takes most rookies three years to start contributing at a high level, so watch out in 2011. I’m calling a three-peat of rings.

But until then, best of luck after this game! I want to see Posey clotheslining Kobe in June.
