Good to see

Peja sticking it to Bowen. Especially looked the scowl he gave Bruce running back up court.

by Rohan on May 15, 2008 8:22 PM CDT reply actions

Bad to see

Duncan shooting well and hitting those bank shots.

by Junsier on May 15, 2008 8:31 PM CDT reply actions

WTF is going on? Did they spike the gatorade? We cant hit shit!

by mattmc89 on May 15, 2008 8:38 PM CDT reply actions

Yeah seriously

and Ime Udoka can’t miss. This will turn around. Hopefully.

by Rohan on May 15, 2008 8:38 PM CDT up reply actions

Bonzi? Two uncntested AIRBALLS?

by mattmc89 on May 15, 2008 8:47 PM CDT reply actions

Bonzi definitely forcing

Seems like he’s trying to make up for not doing anything the rest of the series. No isn’t the time to mess it all up!

by Rohan on May 15, 2008 8:49 PM CDT up reply actions

Come on guys, at least keep it close for the 3rd Q.

by mattmc89 on May 15, 2008 8:48 PM CDT reply actions

What are the Spurs shooting? 70%

by mattmc89 on May 15, 2008 8:53 PM CDT reply actions

Spurs are shooting 69.2%, 18-26. Crazy.

by Junsier on May 15, 2008 8:55 PM CDT up reply actions

Unrealistic

It’s gonna stop. Mark my words.

by Rohan on May 15, 2008 8:55 PM CDT up reply actions

Mo Pete!

46-39, lead down to 7 off a Mo Pete 3. CP is on fire with those little jumpers, 11 pts, 5 assts.

by Junsier on May 15, 2008 8:54 PM CDT reply actions

I love how Mike Breen is making up random stuff

“Parker has been a clutch performer” Yeah right. Go look up his elimination game stats.

by Rohan on May 15, 2008 8:54 PM CDT reply actions

Wooo!

Come back, alley-oop to Tyson. 46-41, Bowen cannot guard Paul.

by Junsier on May 15, 2008 8:57 PM CDT reply actions

Duncan got a few calls with his trademark move at the beginning, it’s in SA, so they’re getting the calls, if any. Not many yet.

And now Chris picks up his 2nd.

by Junsier on May 15, 2008 9:01 PM CDT up reply actions

Its not TOO one sided

But I dont think its even either

by mattmc89 on May 15, 2008 9:04 PM CDT up reply actions

I'm doing a little experiment

where I got a Spurs fan and Matt Moore (neutral) to see how many “bad” calls each team gets. So far I counted 2 bad for SA, 2 bad for us (Pargo getting called for the second block, the last Duncan fadeaway thing, Parker fouled on the fastbreak, and I can’t remember the last). The Spurs guy should check in some time soon with his tally.

by Rohan on May 15, 2008 9:07 PM CDT up reply actions

Damn you Manu

Just hit back to back threes, but Peja at the line down 9.

by Junsier on May 15, 2008 9:00 PM CDT reply actions

I can forgive him

due to his Paul Olympic thing

by Rohan on May 15, 2008 9:04 PM CDT reply actions

Tim Duncan wasn't his idol. Robinson was.

Shut up Mike Breen. You are an idiot.

Nice class from Timothy though.

by Rohan on May 15, 2008 9:11 PM CDT reply actions

Woooo

That layup was awesome. But delay of game? Seriously?

by Junsier on May 15, 2008 9:12 PM CDT reply actions

This blogging thing is cool

I wish I could see the TV from my computer :)

by mattmc89 on May 15, 2008 9:17 PM CDT reply actions

Yeah

The autorefresh is nice. Buy a laptop! :)

by Rohan on May 15, 2008 9:18 PM CDT up reply actions

Halftime Thoughts

Spurs outshot us by 10% (!!!) David West has been awful (3-10) missing some easy shots. Spurs are 5-8 from three. I’m feeling very good to be down only 7.

BUT, CP3 did not get a minute of rest, and much of DX’s poor night has to attributed to Tim Duncan.

Let’s eat ‘em alive in the third!!! Geaux Hornets!!

by Rohan on May 15, 2008 9:17 PM CDT reply actions

@ATH

You going to the airport?

by mattmc89 on May 15, 2008 9:19 PM CDT reply actions

I wish

I’m a displaced Hornet fan unfortunately. You? Take some pictures if you do!

by Rohan on May 15, 2008 9:19 PM CDT up reply actions

Where Yat?

No camera for me tonight. It needs a break. Honeybees are taxing ;)

by mattmc89 on May 15, 2008 9:22 PM CDT up reply actions

L.A. unfortunately

Though I got to meet CP3 and crew when they came to Staples.

Although I’d rather not remember that game… can’t believe we got down THIRTY

by Rohan on May 15, 2008 9:24 PM CDT up reply actions

Im a CA expatriot

No way Id leave NOLA for CA. If I gotta swim, I wont go back.

by mattmc89 on May 15, 2008 9:26 PM CDT up reply actions

At the rate Im spending on the blogs, I will probably get fired. I HAVE to be hyper-productive tomorrrow, so no. Sarah will fan up for both of us

by mattmc89 on May 15, 2008 9:20 PM CDT reply actions

Bob Licht Observations

Three Points for Winning on the Round

1) Score 100 pts, they have 51 right now, on pace. Check.
2) Win 83% of games when they shoot 45% from field. 47% right now, check.
3) Peja (in season) is averaging 3 made threes, he has hit 3 already. Check.

Trail by 7, but it’s always the third Q that matters.

by Junsier on May 15, 2008 9:25 PM CDT reply actions

WTF, that was not an offensive foul.

by Junsier on May 15, 2008 9:37 PM CDT reply actions

OK

Fine it was. Nice job smacking Bowen though. :P

He has four fouls?!?

by Junsier on May 15, 2008 9:38 PM CDT up reply actions

Ouch

THAT WAS NOT A FOUL. And D West is pissed. CP with 4, D with 3.

Lol, and Tyson Chandler calms down Paul and West, nice.

by Junsier on May 15, 2008 9:39 PM CDT reply actions

WOW

No way. That was not an offensive foul.

THAT WAS A FLOP.

by Junsier on May 15, 2008 9:40 PM CDT up reply actions

yeah, he needs to sit

but the officiating is BULLSHIT! That second on Paul was BS, the first on West was BS. BULLSHIT!!!!

by mattmc89 on May 15, 2008 9:43 PM CDT up reply actions

The refs can

Suck a bag of dicks. Sorry

by mattmc89 on May 15, 2008 9:44 PM CDT reply actions

If I was Byron Scott

I might bench DX right now. Let him clear his head, and let him eat S.A.’s backups alive.

by Rohan on May 15, 2008 9:47 PM CDT reply actions

Hahahah

Jeff Van Gundy is hilarious.

by Rohan on May 15, 2008 9:50 PM CDT reply actions

The crescent City Connection

As long as we can hit those, we are IN THE GAME

by mattmc89 on May 15, 2008 9:50 PM CDT reply actions

SA's 3 point luck is going to run out very soon.

Alley oop dunks? That’s the sort of thing that works forever. And the Spurs can’t guard it.

by Rohan on May 15, 2008 9:52 PM CDT up reply actions

Lame

Enough said. D West is missing it all.

by Junsier on May 15, 2008 9:59 PM CDT reply actions

Man...

their shooting is just insan.e

by Rohan on May 15, 2008 9:59 PM CDT reply actions

looking BAD

Sit west and let him stew until the next game and watch him break an NBA record

by mattmc89 on May 15, 2008 10:01 PM CDT reply actions

Man

So close… they just hit some jumpshots. This game is so much closer than it seems.

by Rohan on May 15, 2008 10:03 PM CDT reply actions

has your spurs guy responded about the fouls yet?

by mattmc89 on May 15, 2008 10:03 PM CDT reply actions

Yeah, cuz they are ridiculous.

by Junsier on May 15, 2008 10:04 PM CDT up reply actions

Nope

Any time now. Right now I have it at 4 bad calls (good for Spurs) and 2 bad for us. The two new ones were the second offensive on CP3 and the stupid touch one when DX was screened. Honestly, I don’t think the Spurs surged ahead because of poor officiating. They just hit some timely shots… you can call that luck or whatever you want.

But David West has been SO off today, it’s sad to see :(

by Rohan on May 15, 2008 10:06 PM CDT up reply actions

Ouch, D West hit down, Horry smacked him.

by Junsier on May 15, 2008 10:07 PM CDT reply actions

No it wasn’t.

Superman wears Manu Ginobili pajamas to bed.

by CMoney on May 16, 2008 10:57 AM CDT up reply actions

D West back in the locker room, ouch. Took a pretty hard hit.

by Junsier on May 15, 2008 10:10 PM CDT reply actions

Bees missed the last 11 shots they’ve taken, CP back in.

by Junsier on May 15, 2008 10:10 PM CDT up reply actions

Wow

That was seriously Dirty. This is why I have no respect whatsoever for Ben Gay Bob.

This is garbage time, all starters are coming out, we’ll see Game 7 then.

by Junsier on May 15, 2008 10:14 PM CDT up reply actions

this blows

I cant watch any more. It hurts too much

by mattmc89 on May 15, 2008 10:18 PM CDT reply actions

Yeah

Just turned it off. I can’t believe Robert Horry. Bush-league at its finest. And to think the guys over at that Spurs blog were calling OUR players classless? Unbelievable.

by Rohan on May 15, 2008 10:21 PM CDT up reply actions

fuckem

Twice. Hard.

Night all. Monday night at the HIVE baby!

by mattmc89 on May 15, 2008 10:23 PM CDT up reply actions

Fluffy out with a bruised back, he has 4 days to recover. Some last thoughts:

1) Home team always, wins, Hornets at home in game 7.
2) D West has had crazy awesome games with crappy games, so he’ll have an awesome game on Monday.
3) Cooler team (NOH) should win.

And I’m out for today.

by Junsier on May 15, 2008 10:22 PM CDT reply actions

Later

Good point about the 4 days rest. I remember thinking that that’s terrible since the Spurs’ old men can rest their legs. But now it’s a boon to us.

by Rohan on May 15, 2008 10:23 PM CDT up reply actions

Highway Robbery

5 fouls and a tech over a 1:23 span…the game was changed and the Spurs never looked back. Unbelievable. If the refs call a game like that in Nola I will personally eschew my season tickets and charge the court…
