I'm doing a little experiment
where I got a Spurs fan and Matt Moore (neutral) to see how many “bad” calls each team gets. So far I counted 2 bad for SA, 2 bad for us (Pargo getting called for the second block, the last Duncan fadeaway thing, Parker fouled on the fastbreak, and I can’t remember the last). The Spurs guy should check in some time soon with his tally.

Halftime Thoughts
Spurs outshot us by 10% (!!!) David West has been awful (3-10) missing some easy shots. Spurs are 5-8 from three. I’m feeling very good to be down only 7.
BUT, CP3 did not get a minute of rest, and much of DX’s poor night has to attributed to Tim Duncan.
Let’s eat ‘em alive in the third!!! Geaux Hornets!!

Three Points for Winning on the Round
1) Score 100 pts, they have 51 right now, on pace. Check.
2) Win 83% of games when they shoot 45% from field. 47% right now, check.
3) Peja (in season) is averaging 3 made threes, he has hit 3 already. Check.
Trail by 7, but it’s always the third Q that matters.

I have a cool Bruce Bowen story...
No lie. You may find this funny. I was amazingly lucky enough to score four floor seats to the Hornets Spurs game on November 9th, real early in the season. Like, REAL floor seats, Jack Nicholson, Larry David/Shaquille O’neal style seats. I was actually sitting IN FRONT of Birdman who was suspended at the time. Anyway, this was before I actually really cared about the Hornets (yes, i just really got on the Hornets bandwagon at the All Star break). Toward the end of the game the Hornets put out Ryan Bowen at the same time the Spurs were playing Bruce Bowen. Being so close to the action, I had to take this opportunity to heckle the opposing team. When Bruce Bowen was standing like right in front of me, I yelled some stupid, funny-at-the-time comment about how him and Ryan Bowen must be brothers because of their last names. As soon as I said it, the Spurs made a shot, Bowen turned around to me, looked me straight in the eye and said “No, we’re just cousins!” I thought a player talking to me in the middle of the game was just the coolest thing in the world. Alright, thats my story.

He brought his friends to a Jazz game
in the days of Karl Malone. His friends were getting hammered and just completely talking trash all night, one friend in particular to Malone. Toward the end of the game, Malone hits a shot, (the seats are right next to the basket, across from the hornets bench) turns to the friend, flexes his huge biceps in front of him and with a grimace says something like “I’m gonna make you my b$*%.” I wasn’t there for that one, but I believe him.
