Pretty fast paced start here

Both teams crazy from the field. Anyone else find the young sounding Dallas commentator really annoying?

by atthehive on Jan 14, 2009 7:51 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Heh

I’m not complaining that much though. Dallas is just shooting an insane percentage on jumpers… it should come down soon enough.

THE WORLD IS ENDING

Devin Brown is a basketball God!

by chandlerfan6 on Jan 14, 2009 8:08 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Wow, heat check from Brown

He thinks he’s on fire…

by atthehive on Jan 14, 2009 8:09 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

There was just a glitch in the space time continuum

No. Seriously.

I’m not really here. I’m not even really typing right now.

ANOTHER THREE BY DEVIN BROWN

WHATS GOING ON?????

Devin Brown is a basketball God!

I CANT BELIEVE WHAT I JUST SAW

Devin Brown is a basketball God!

by chandlerfan6 on Jan 14, 2009 8:12 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

I wish it was Mo Pete hitting them though..

Or better yet, JuJu.

Because I fear this will cause Byron Scott to start playing Devin more. Good for him hitting those threes but yeah.. I hope not.

by Caleb462 on Jan 14, 2009 8:12 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Thats what I just said

Yellow light, Devin. YELLOW. Proceed with caution.

by ticktock6 on Jan 14, 2009 8:14 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Totally.

Seriously, I’d love to know by what objective criteria Byron says to himself, you know, I’d way rather have Devin in the game instead of Mo.

I don't even know what's happening right now

This isn’t the Hornets. It’s…

by ticktock6 on Jan 14, 2009 8:13 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

I can't actually see the game...

I’m at work… following it on ESPN.com’s play-by-play. But I don’t have a good feeling about it… hope that changes.

by Caleb462 on Jan 14, 2009 8:15 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

I hope not!

We need this game bad

by atthehive on Jan 14, 2009 8:17 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah

That’s probably why I have a bad feeling… I just really don’t want the Hornets to drop this one, so I’m anxious about being behind even a little – especially after taking that early lead.

by Caleb462 on Jan 14, 2009 8:19 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

good stretch for AD

Devin Brown is a basketball God!

by chandlerfan6 on Jan 14, 2009 8:16 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Yup

Though that layup was sort of scary… turned out well though

by atthehive on Jan 14, 2009 8:18 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Wow. We're tied.

Just when I thought we were sucking…

by m-W on Jan 14, 2009 8:24 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

3 on Dampier

I think he’s the only player in the NBA who we routinely get in foul trouble…

by atthehive on Jan 14, 2009 8:30 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Much better defense that quarter

Just gotta keep in mind that DAL is shooting a super lucky percentage on jumpers. It’ll come down in the 2nd half. If it doesn’t…. well, it’s one of those losses you really can’t do much about.

by atthehive on Jan 14, 2009 8:33 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Let's hope it does.

Bees need to step up if they want to be the team we think they are.

by m-W on Jan 14, 2009 8:34 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

we should jump out to the lead in the third

because jason terrys not gonna be in and if the games close going into the fourth, byron PLEASE PLEASE DONT TAKE CP3 OUT SO DEVIN BROWN CAN COME IN and put the game out of reach; those threes he made were much out of luck not skill

Devin Brown is a basketball God!

by chandlerfan6 on Jan 14, 2009 8:40 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Yeah seriously

Terry is OWNING us.

by atthehive on Jan 14, 2009 8:41 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

put posey on him

Devin Brown is a basketball God!

by chandlerfan6 on Jan 14, 2009 8:46 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Out of curiousity...

I just looked up Devin Brown’s stats on Basketball-Reference.com. He shot 37% from three in 2004-2005 (on 2 attempts per game) with San Antonio… that’s pretty surprising!

by Caleb462 on Jan 14, 2009 8:51 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

In fact...

He’s a career 33% shooter from behind the arc. So… not good, but not bad. I’m not sure why he’s thrown up so many bricks this year (6 of 41 – a dreadful 15%), but he does have the three in his game to a certain extent. Just very very streaky I guess.

by Caleb462 on Jan 14, 2009 8:53 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Antoine Wright 2-2 from deep.

And 27% 3PG% for his career. The Devin Brown cosmic anomaly has been equalized.

by m-W on Jan 14, 2009 9:01 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Yeah

would be nice to guard him.

by RonD on Jan 14, 2009 9:07 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Lol

“cosmic anomaly”

by atthehive on Jan 14, 2009 9:08 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

I repeat again.

Chris Paul is really good.

by Cablinasian on Jan 14, 2009 9:12 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Heh

23/9/6/5 in 29 minutes. Decent…

by atthehive on Jan 14, 2009 9:13 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Nice block from Marks

Lol, West owns 4 guys on that layup.

by atthehive on Jan 14, 2009 9:12 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

i was shocked when marks got up

i was like wtf and for chandler whos been really good today it made no sense but after a block that led to two points now i know why

Devin Brown is a basketball God!

by chandlerfan6 on Jan 14, 2009 9:14 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Hmm, POR and UTA look like they'll lose

Strange off night around the league

by atthehive on Jan 14, 2009 9:15 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Portland is a mash unit

Rudy, Roy, Blake, and Webster are hurt.

Their problem now exists in lacking healthy people that can score.

by Cablinasian on Jan 14, 2009 9:45 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

What happened to

it being illegal to lean into a defender like that??? Bobby Jackson got called for that once a game… that was the most obvious instance imagineable.

by atthehive on Jan 14, 2009 9:28 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Exactly

Refs suck. Devin stopped short of jason and jason leaned in.

by RonD on Jan 14, 2009 9:30 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

byron finally made a good coaching decision

he left CP3 IN however I still don’t see the point of have marks out there; got to give devin brown credit hes playing well tonight

Devin Brown is a basketball God!

by chandlerfan6 on Jan 14, 2009 9:28 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

BS call

Devin stopped short of jason. Jason moved forward. i thought they started faulting the shooter for that

by RonD on Jan 14, 2009 9:28 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

HAhah

CP3 just owned JKidd

by atthehive on Jan 14, 2009 9:34 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Wow

Chris Paul is good at basketball.

by atthehive on Jan 14, 2009 9:37 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Man that 3 from Peja

would’ve taken their hearts out

by RonD on Jan 14, 2009 9:40 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Good win

CP played like it was round 1 of playoffs tonight. So glad Peja looked good tonight. Hope he keeps it up.

by RonD on Jan 14, 2009 9:48 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Totally.

I think he was the MVP of the game. Sure CP and DX got theirs, but they can get theirs and we still lose. When Peja is on, the defenders have to pay attention to him, and that creates that much more space for the others (like CP and DX) to operate.
