Pretty fast paced start here
Both teams crazy from the field. Anyone else find the young sounding Dallas commentator really annoying?

I wish it was Mo Pete hitting them though..
Or better yet, JuJu.
Because I fear this will cause Byron Scott to start playing Devin more. Good for him hitting those threes but yeah.. I hope not.

I’m at work… following it on ESPN.com’s play-by-play. But I don’t have a good feeling about it… hope that changes.

Much better defense that quarter
Just gotta keep in mind that DAL is shooting a super lucky percentage on jumpers. It’ll come down in the 2nd half. If it doesn’t…. well, it’s one of those losses you really can’t do much about.

because jason terrys not gonna be in and if the games close going into the fourth, byron PLEASE PLEASE DONT TAKE CP3 OUT SO DEVIN BROWN CAN COME IN and put the game out of reach; those threes he made were much out of luck not skill

Out of curiousity...
I just looked up Devin Brown’s stats on Basketball-Reference.com. He shot 37% from three in 2004-2005 (on 2 attempts per game) with San Antonio… that’s pretty surprising!

In fact...
He’s a career 33% shooter from behind the arc. So… not good, but not bad. I’m not sure why he’s thrown up so many bricks this year (6 of 41 – a dreadful 15%), but he does have the three in his game to a certain extent. Just very very streaky I guess.

Antoine Wright 2-2 from deep.
And 27% 3PG% for his career. The Devin Brown cosmic anomaly has been equalized.

Portland is a mash unit
Rudy, Roy, Blake, and Webster are hurt.
Their problem now exists in lacking healthy people that can score.

Totally.
I think he was the MVP of the game. Sure CP and DX got theirs, but they can get theirs and we still lose. When Peja is on, the defenders have to pay attention to him, and that creates that much more space for the others (like CP and DX) to operate.
