A massive game for the Hornets

We COULD be the first team to knock off the Cavs at home…COULD…

by Grayson on Jan 16, 2009 6:24 PM CST reply actions

Good point

We already beat em once, and they lost Delonte West last night… so maybe COULD will turn into WILL.

by Rohan on Jan 16, 2009 6:29 PM CST up reply actions

But...

LeBron is hating that lose to Chicago…he’ll come out strong and it shows…

After the Jazz hubris...

…I’m going to come right out and say it. I’m not greedy. CP can get 0-0-0-0 and 23 turnovers. Lebron can have 58-11-15-16, with no turnovers. As long as we win.

by m-W on Jan 16, 2009 7:16 PM CST reply actions

What is it with this team?

Would it have hurt somebody to guard gibson? I just don’t understand it. They really have fallen off on defense. It’s sad

by RonD on Jan 16, 2009 7:36 PM CST reply actions

P.S.

Darius Miles just logged minutes. Tell the Blazers to say hello to the luxury tax.

by m-W on Jan 16, 2009 7:41 PM CST reply actions

We are playing woeful

It just seems that whenever we get our bench guys on we seem to faulter…

by Grayson on Jan 16, 2009 7:45 PM CST reply actions

David West

Can’t get it going offensively

by Grayson on Jan 16, 2009 7:49 PM CST reply actions

We seem dull though

Like offensively we just have no “go” I don’t know how to describe it but we just go away from Paul and West and towards subs who take jumpshots…Devensively we just overplay lebron..he’s finding open shooters who are converting…

by Grayson on Jan 16, 2009 8:02 PM CST up reply actions

Refs..

…are BJing the Cavs

by Grayson on Jan 16, 2009 8:09 PM CST reply actions

Ugh

Horrible half.

If they lose to Cleveland in Cleveland… okay, so be it. But to get completely shown up… on national TV (Like in Orlando)? COME ON. Van Gundy and the commentators keep mentioning the Hornets lack of intensity, and this time I have to agree. Where is the heart? Chris Paul has it… but does anyone else? The defense is awful… STOP leaving shooters open. We do that to every team. I understand wanting to contain Lebron… but I’ll take Lebron’s 2 point drives over his teammates wide open threes.

Dissapointing. Turn it around Hornets…

by Caleb462 on Jan 16, 2009 8:15 PM CST reply actions

Agree completly

This team just doesn’t seem to want it. Our bench is woeful we have to make a trade or something because it just seems that the bench comes on and all intensity is lost. We are taking to many forced jumpshots which look hideous that clunk of the side of the backboard…I mean common!

by Grayson on Jan 16, 2009 8:18 PM CST up reply actions

Actually I thought the bench played decently for once tonight...

It was the bench who started to cut the lead… but it turned out to be a shortlived cut. On most bad nights… a lot of blame goes to the bench, tonight – it goes on the starters even more.

by Caleb462 on Jan 16, 2009 8:23 PM CST reply actions

I guess your right

About how it’s more our starters fault…every time I get to watch the Hornets play, they play extremly bad.

by Grayson on Jan 16, 2009 8:40 PM CST up reply actions

Meh.

I really wanted this game.

by Cablinasian on Jan 16, 2009 8:36 PM CST reply actions

Little run

See if we can keep it going.

by Grayson on Jan 16, 2009 8:49 PM CST reply actions

Net +5 that quarter as bad as we looked

We need the bench to hold it here, if only for 4 minutes

by Rohan on Jan 16, 2009 8:58 PM CST reply actions

Yeah. And here's a clue.

Step forward. Lebron will drive to the rim from the 3 point line. Take the charge. How hard can that be?

by m-W on Jan 16, 2009 9:00 PM CST reply actions

Devin is killing us.

Nice ball movement. But it should be Mo on the 3 point line. Devin can’t take those shots so the offense doesn’t work.

by m-W on Jan 16, 2009 9:03 PM CST reply actions

Seriously

Devin Brown… I don’t know how much more of this I can take

by Rohan on Jan 16, 2009 9:05 PM CST up reply actions

People keep saying out bench sucks.

Yet Hilton just 5 minutes. Mo none. Julian none. You tell me who our best bench players are (other than Posey, who rocks). Looks like ZDevin’s one good game will f#(k us.

by m-W on Jan 16, 2009 9:09 PM CST up reply actions

This whole game...

Has really shaken my faith in Coach Scott.

Now, that could be a kneejerk emotional overreaction on my part… but yeah.

by Caleb462 on Jan 16, 2009 9:22 PM CST up reply actions

Normally, I'd say yeah.

But he’s 0-4 tonight. So…keep passing it Chris.

by m-W on Jan 16, 2009 9:24 PM CST up reply actions

I hear ya...

But a good look is a good look…

LET POSEY GO ONE ON ONE WITH LEBRON

HOLY CRAP HES ONE OF THE BEST DEFENDERS IN THE LEAGUE

Devin Brown is a basketball God!

by chandlerfan6 on Jan 16, 2009 9:28 PM CST reply actions

Lebron is just hot from midrange

Those aren’t shots he’s going to hit most of the time… he’s just feeling it.

by Caleb462 on Jan 16, 2009 9:29 PM CST up reply actions

i have lost all respect for cleveland

by chandlerfan6 on Jan 16, 2009 9:33 PM CST reply actions

Cav organization is completely classless.

They play the CP “Whoo” every time he gets a foul, and after he just got ejected.

by m-W on Jan 16, 2009 9:34 PM CST reply actions

screw lebron

Devin Brown is a basketball God!

by chandlerfan6 on Jan 16, 2009 9:35 PM CST reply actions

Julian

Good move and score. What a shock. Good job by not playing him AT ALL Byron.

by m-W on Jan 16, 2009 9:36 PM CST reply actions

What?!

Thanks Byron Scott for making me hate you even more. Play Julian in the last two minutes of a lost game. What is that?

by Caleb462 on Jan 16, 2009 9:37 PM CST reply actions

Listen.

We won 56 games last year. We were a game away from making the conference finals. And all throughout that, MORRIS PETERSON was a starter. And on a team that good, Byron honestly believe that he doesn’t even deserve to play? What the fuck? And part two of this rant? Julian Wright is the next best player on your bench after Mo (assuming he doesn’t start, otherwise Rasual) and Pose, so why doesn’t he even play? I trust Byron as a coach generally. But seriously, playing Devin and Marks over Mo and Julian. I’m really, really, really losing patience for that.

by m-W on Jan 16, 2009 9:43 PM CST reply actions

It's absolutely dumbfounding.

Realy… there is no way to explain his rotation choices this season.
