Amen
Here’s to continuing the no turnover streak (as he raises his beer)… wait, maybe it should be called the good ball handling streak or something.

I love Hilt,
but I don’t see the streak going far. Turnovers happen.

So...
Gil doesn’t think Billups is that good on defense. His New Year’s resolution must have been to be more of a homer than usual.
http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/
What is happening?
Hilton is dropping shots left and right…
http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/
And he's perfect from the line.
Amazing. I mean, I’ve been pumping him up for awhile, but he looks like an All-Star out there!

Hilton:
Has surpassed Tyson’s average scoring in 6 minutes of play.
http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/
Actually, the question really is...
…with him out, who will score? (Unless we keep getting to the line…)
by m-W on Jan 3, 2009 8:27 PM CST up reply actions
And as soon as he goes out, we lose the lead.
Never thought I’d type much of these lines…
by m-W on Jan 3, 2009 8:28 PM CST up reply actions
Yeah...
But they’re playing at our pace, so that’s looking good.
http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/
Yeah, scoring has really slowed.
If we can just make a little run here to close the quarter.
by m-W on Jan 3, 2009 8:36 PM CST up reply actions
Yeah, but at least Carter
totally got suckered on the next play.
by m-W on Jan 3, 2009 8:40 PM CST up reply actions
End of First...
And Hilton is leading all scorers with 11… He’s still on pace for 44!
http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/
Who was it
that was talking about AD needing to step into his three pointers? He just did it and nailed it.
I'm shocked Dwest has yet to score.
I hope he isn’t cold when he does decide to shoot.
Yikes...
We’re down 10 all of a sudden. Time to step it up.
http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/
13 now
Time to get CP in there and stop trying to post up Peja so much.
Wow at how 3s can take you out of a game
And Posey being ice cold hurts even more.
This is infuriating...
And why does Byron think Marks is going to help at all?
http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/
Well, he obviously shouldn't put in Hilton.
He was unstoppable on both ends. Oh yeah. That was sarcasm.
by m-W on Jan 3, 2009 9:02 PM CST up reply actions
There's no one else.
Armstrong can’t rebound and there’s no one else tall enough to battle with Nene.
But he was a machine on offense!
The sarcasm was meant for Byron, not Hilt. Sorry if unclear.

david west needs to get on the glass
seems like hes not even there on defense
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
That's been the story all season.
His rebounding numbers are horrible this year. I don’t know why he doesn’t even battle for them.
At least Nene picked up his third.
If Byron won’t play our starting 5, at least we can foul out theirs.
So Byron celebrates...
…getting coach of the month by making some of the most insane coaching decisions of the season. Bench our hottest shooter after the first? Don’t call timeout during a 24-2 run? Check and double check.
http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/
You know, having watched a lot of Phil Jackson coached games...
…I’m kind of okay with the no timeout. I mean we’ll never know if he could have cut their momentum. Sometimes it works out that way, sometimes it does not. But why did Hilton barely play in the 2nd? Especially in favor of Marks?
by m-W on Jan 3, 2009 9:14 PM CST up reply actions
I agree with playing through rough patches sometimes...
…but the momentum didn’t change one iota. That run by Denver was insane.
http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/
Let's just hope
he doesn’t egg CP into doing anything stupid. Chris already has a tech. Though I wouldn’t mind K-Mart picking up another…

i just noticed on the last couple of plays
peja just watches other guys come down with rebounds but doesnt even want to be within 15 ft of them. wtf!?! i understand ur not a rebounder but stick ur damn hand in and try and force a mistake
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
now an 18 point deficit looks bad BUT
OKC came back from 20 behind yesterday against them and the first half ended a bit better anyways
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
This game is the story of missed shots and being outrebounded
Posey 0-8? My goodness!
Buterler 0-3
Peterson 0-2
For the great job Hilton did, DWest was not able to get into the game. 1-3
Combine that with Denvers lights out shooting = -18
Turn it around guys. I want this game especially after Kenyon’s stutterring self trying to be tough got in CP’s face and poked the ball away.
no worries
posey WILL hit those 3’s cuz he can and he’s clutch when the team needs him plus i say we start every play with a pick and roll with west/armstrong to try and get shots for cp3 or peja/sul/posey. NO POST UPS!!!
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
At least he finally got his jumper going.
That will help keep defenses honest.

im sick of this
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
get peja and his pathetic defense out
put posey in
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
btw hiltons back to being his soft self
missing layups, getting dunked on, getting outrebounded. but seriously did we expect him to play like he did in the first quarter. this is the hilton armstrong we all know and are used to watching
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
They don't want to play.
How embarrassing. Again they get blown out by +20. How does this happen and they don’t look like they care. Where’s the fight. Where’s the fire. My goodness this team has split personalities.
I fear this effort to get back will result in a too tired team to finish it off.
I’m glad CP decided to take it upon himself. At least its under 20 right now. If they can get it under 15 before the 3rd ends and the bench can chip away more they have a real chance.
DONT PUT IN MARKS NOW
who cares leave this team on the court dont ruin what we have goin now
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
plus we dont play for two days anyways
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
WOW!!!! what a start
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
NO HILTON ARMSTRONG IN THE OFFENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
UNLESS HES SETTING A PICK
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
we dont need him going up weak and ruining possessions
let cp3 and dwest do this
Devin Brown is a basketball God!

Man Hilton
take it up strong!!! But I’m glad they are back in the game
its pretty amazing
idk though the bulls game has to be up there
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
i love posey
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
Man i want this game so bad.
positive thoughts positive thoughts
YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!?!?!?!??!??!??!??!?!
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
I'd say tragic, really.
They could’ve pulled this out, but just couldn’t finish it. (I think….time left…)
WOW
our playcalling was pathetic though too
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
My sentiments exactly
The last 3 possessions are why this team is so up and down. David gets his hands on the pass and deflects it right to Chauncy. the play out of the timeout to Peja just didnt make sense. Chris….you will not get a call that late in the game. Don’t blame the ref.
Hate the way this game ended
two inexcusable mental lapses and a turnovers.
definitely
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
Would've been nice if we hadn't turned it over late.
Would’ve liked to see them really beat us, not us beat ourselves. Oh well. They played a good game through 48 minutes. We didn’t.
It kills me
That I see all these crap teams doing crazy stuff to tie up games at the end and we never pull that off. I know we don’t have a lot of set plays, but don’t you think we could have A COUPLE just, you know, in the back pocket for these type of situations? Besides, “CP, use your magic eyes in the back of your head to just do something”?
I seriously think Byron was just like, “OK guys, just be yourselves. Now have a Gatorade and relax for 50 seconds.” We just do such underwhelming things off of timeouts.
http://hornetshype.com
Well at least Byron was smart enough to dress Marks
instead of Wright. Oh, wait, that was dumb. Never mind.
