What up, peeps?
We’re looking pretty good so far. Geaux Bees!
http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/
How's that?
Draws the foul on Gasol from a free-throw line drive!

Did you see the replay?
With CP making fake moves, and making faces over his shoulder? And Sasha either bought it or the ref did?
Too bad...
Could have used that trey at the buzzer. Good effort, though. Especially in the Staples Center.
http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/
We have to cut down on those random plays
where we let Odom stroll through the paint. That hurt us a lot first two games. But I agree, good job.
Hmmm...
Not sure, but they just got one on Ariza….that’s always good. Actually they just said team 2nd on this one.
BS call, Fisher was clearly moving
But it was amusing seeing Kobe trying to pass like Chris Paul at the other end. And failing miserably.
Amen...
No reason for him to be in. His defense is is god awful and he’s covering the most prolific scorer of our era. Great.
http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/
But m-W...
He’s the very deserving coach of the month. How dare you insult his methods?
http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/
Ok, I know we complain a lot as a team...
…But the Lakers have been doing a whole heap of whining.
http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/
Chris Paul has 19 pts and 7 asts, 2stls and 0 turnovers
And it’s not halftime yet.
Tracy McGrady will be starting the All Star Game over him.
And by the time I finish typing that
it’s become 23 and 7. Seriously, we’re watching one of the top 5 players ever to play basketball.
DEVIN BROWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
i still dont understand why no mo pete
Devin Brown is a basketball God!

I think there was too much pressure on the bees at the hive
because they would always come out ice cold, hesitating on open jumpers, and then fall apart in the second quarter and basically lose the game there. There’s no pressure here in L.A. even though this is like a must win for their confidence because the crowd is not getting on them. They’re just able to come out and just play fee non-hesitant basketball and that’s why we’re winning this game so far.
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
did anyone see the preview to this game on nba tv?
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
there was an email that the announcers answer from tmac angel
LOL he was rampaging how tmac is the next mj and how he deserves the last all star spot and is definitely the best shooter in the leage. I was laughing so hard. CHRIS PAUL?

So...
That was Kobe’s 1st (1st!) foul. Thanks Joey Crawford.
http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/
Seriously.
Although, TT6 was convinced he was 88-88 from deep. Turns out after that last one, he’s only 3-6.
3 on West, 3 on Chandler
Both those guys had better be super careful. We were able to weather foul trouble in the 1st half, but I’d rather not have to this half.
This is why Paul is so good
He can seamlessly move between scoring in bunches and not shooting at all (setting people up). It’s like he just flips a switch
This is getting ridiculous
How do you guard this? You can’t.
http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/
I've been saying it all night, so I'll say it here.
Lebron cannot do what Kobe is doing here. CP could.
Remember the 2007 playoffs against Detroit?
LeBron did this… but even better. 32 straight points?!?!?
I'd say we need to slow the pace up a bit...
But both teams are shooting a pretty high percentage. This is an insane shootout.
http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/
We're at the penalty, they've taken the lead
This is the point where we either fall apart or surge back into it. Come on guys
its about time poseys on kobe
now just let him go one on one with kobe
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
Good call
Got to try and switch things up. I can’t blame Butler, though… you just can’t defend that.
http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/
Kobe has 34 points on 12 shot ATTEMPTS
Is that insane or is that insane. In other news, Chris Paul has cooled down way too much for my liking
Hmmmm...
Could he feel slighted since we made a joke about him in Statistics 101? Does that mean he reads this blog? Maybe we should pick on not-superstars from now on… just a thought.
http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/
Without Kobe's shot at the buzzer in the 2nd...
It’s tie game. Let’s put this away, guys. GEAUX BEES!
http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/
TC 6-6 from the lne
pretty good hes focused today
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
kobe was just insane that quarter
you cant defend any better than that; hand in your face from 35 ft WTF SERIOUSLY?!?!?
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
i like how the refs are not making the bail out calls
kobe can miss shots and they’re noticing that; just not from three
Devin Brown is a basketball God!

they always do that
thats why there shocked that a couple of calls havent gone their way
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
I know, right?
LEGEND… wait for it… I hope you’re not lactose intolerant because the next word is… DAIRY

2 points in fourth
Expended too much energy in the third

Great point by the Laker commentators
they only have one player who attacks the hoop off the dribble. Fisher, Gasol, Ariza, Bynum… they need someone to attack the rim.
Odom is more effective at guarding West
Than Pau Gasol

He's fun to watch...
love the flair. It results in turnovers sometimes… but it makes the games so much fun.
Yes
If losing a game constitutes “coming back to the pack”.

I still think they are the best team in the west
It’s just not out of the realm of possiblity that they’ll be upset in the playoffs.
Boston, Cleveland, and LA are really good.
Good game by West
He was due after all the pooper shooting nights, he’s had in the past against the Lakers.

Chris Paul is
Scary good in a close game.

After a win, whatever team you root for.
by Gils_Keloids on Jan 7, 2009 12:01 AM CST up reply actions
No, he means in general
Quite a few people hanging out, compared to the beginning of the year even in losses. Hopefully this place is hopping for UTA tomorrow night
Very satisfying.
I can’t help but think we really are contenders. If DX can take Gasol, we can beat this team in a seven game series.
Gotta remember though
Odom got injured, and he’s the guy who normally guards West.
by Gils_Keloids on Jan 7, 2009 12:02 AM CST up reply actions
Fair enough
But our earlier problems weren’t just West struggling isolation-wise. It was the defense on Paul. Tonight there was a lot more movement, so even when Paul was trapped, we got some decent looks.
Peja even missed
Some very make-able looks.
Anyway good win, I root for the Lakers, but I’m more of an NBA fan, so I can appreciate a good game.
CP3 is great at keeping his dribble alive. You guys got to see how great Kobe is, Byron knew to get it out of his hands in the fourth (not to mention Kobe must have been very tired after that third), too bad no one stepped up and filled the scoring vacuum
Posey, again with the key three. He’s just got a knack.

The Hornets really
Took it the Lakers in the paint, and the Lakers did nothing in the paint to the Hornets

I like this feature
Just signed up the other day…
The typical message boards are getting old and besides I see I’m in some pretty good company in here.
Tomorrow night's game against Utah
would be such an enormous win. To go 3-1 on this road trip… that would be incredible.
They have been struggling, yeah
But Chris Paul getting the Deron Williams monkey off his back is gonna be awesome
