Nice from Chandler

Now let’s hope he doesn’t pick up #2

Where is everybody anyway??

Late, road game against LA…. what’s better to do on a Tuesday night

by atthehive on Jan 6, 2009 9:54 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Dunno

Hopefully glued to their televisions.

Noooo

2 on Chandler. Let’s hope for Super Hilton

by atthehive on Jan 6, 2009 9:56 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Wow.

Not sure the Machine actually touched CP on that foul…

The Machine?

Wow

Party foul on me. That was hysterical.

3 on Sasha

WHOOOOOOO!

http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/

by hldomingue on Jan 6, 2009 10:07 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Hahaah

Watching Sasha try to guard Paul is hilarious

by atthehive on Jan 6, 2009 10:09 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Did you see the replay?

With CP making fake moves, and making faces over his shoulder? And Sasha either bought it or the ref did?

by m-W on Jan 6, 2009 10:09 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Too bad...

Could have used that trey at the buzzer. Good effort, though. Especially in the Staples Center.

http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/

by hldomingue on Jan 6, 2009 10:09 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Totally.

And that’s a shot you expect to get.

by m-W on Jan 6, 2009 10:10 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

We have to cut down on those random plays

where we let Odom stroll through the paint. That hurt us a lot first two games. But I agree, good job.

by atthehive on Jan 6, 2009 10:12 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Hmmm...

Not sure, but they just got one on Ariza….that’s always good. Actually they just said team 2nd on this one.

…charge on Devin…. really?

http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/

by hldomingue on Jan 6, 2009 10:34 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

BS call, Fisher was clearly moving

But it was amusing seeing Kobe trying to pass like Chris Paul at the other end. And failing miserably.

by atthehive on Jan 6, 2009 10:36 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Amen...

No reason for him to be in. His defense is is god awful and he’s covering the most prolific scorer of our era. Great.

http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/

by hldomingue on Jan 6, 2009 10:38 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

But m-W...

He’s the very deserving coach of the month. How dare you insult his methods?

http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/

by hldomingue on Jan 6, 2009 10:42 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Ok, I know we complain a lot as a team...

…But the Lakers have been doing a whole heap of whining.

by hldomingue on Jan 6, 2009 10:37 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Chris Paul has 19 pts and 7 asts, 2stls and 0 turnovers

And it’s not halftime yet.

Tracy McGrady will be starting the All Star Game over him.

by atthehive on Jan 6, 2009 10:46 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

And by the time I finish typing that

it’s become 23 and 7. Seriously, we’re watching one of the top 5 players ever to play basketball.

by atthehive on Jan 6, 2009 10:47 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I think there was too much pressure on the bees at the hive

because they would always come out ice cold, hesitating on open jumpers, and then fall apart in the second quarter and basically lose the game there. There’s no pressure here in L.A. even though this is like a must win for their confidence because the crowd is not getting on them. They’re just able to come out and just play fee non-hesitant basketball and that’s why we’re winning this game so far.

Devin Brown is a basketball God!

by chandlerfan6 on Jan 6, 2009 10:55 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

there was an email that the announcers answer from tmac angel

LOL he was rampaging how tmac is the next mj and how he deserves the last all star spot and is definitely the best shooter in the leage. I was laughing so hard. CHRIS PAUL?

Devin Brown is a basketball God!

by chandlerfan6 on Jan 6, 2009 11:11 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

So...

That was Kobe’s 1st (1st!) foul. Thanks Joey Crawford.

http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/

by hldomingue on Jan 6, 2009 11:08 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Seriously.

Although, TT6 was convinced he was 88-88 from deep. Turns out after that last one, he’s only 3-6.

by m-W on Jan 6, 2009 11:08 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

This is why Paul is so good

He can seamlessly move between scoring in bunches and not shooting at all (setting people up). It’s like he just flips a switch

by atthehive on Jan 6, 2009 11:11 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Derek Fisher has 1 foul

http://www.hometownhornets.blogspot.com/

by hldomingue on Jan 6, 2009 11:14 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I'd say we need to slow the pace up a bit...

But both teams are shooting a pretty high percentage. This is an insane shootout.

Got to try and switch things up. I can’t blame Butler, though… you just can’t defend that.

by hldomingue on Jan 6, 2009 11:22 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Kobe has 34 points on 12 shot ATTEMPTS

Is that insane or is that insane. In other news, Chris Paul has cooled down way too much for my liking

by atthehive on Jan 6, 2009 11:23 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Now that I think about it

That’s like saying every shot’s a three and every shot goes in.

by atthehive on Jan 6, 2009 11:24 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Yeah.

Plus, Peja hits two more 3s and its a tie game.

Yargh Fisher

Right when we were about to blow it open

by atthehive on Jan 6, 2009 11:48 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

West has 38 on 23 shots, Kobe 39 on 20 shots. And West hasn’t even been our best player.

by atthehive on Jan 6, 2009 11:51 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Great point by the Laker commentators

they only have one player who attacks the hoop off the dribble. Fisher, Gasol, Ariza, Bynum… they need someone to attack the rim.

by Cablinasian on Jan 6, 2009 11:51 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Hahah

Voooote me! Love that guy

by atthehive on Jan 6, 2009 11:55 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

love the flair. It results in turnovers sometimes… but it makes the games so much fun.

by Cablinasian on Jan 6, 2009 11:57 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I just want him on my team for the interviews!

by atthehive on Jan 6, 2009 11:58 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Yes

If losing a game constitutes “coming back to the pack”.

by Gils_Keloids on Jan 6, 2009 11:56 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I still think they are the best team in the west

It’s just not out of the realm of possiblity that they’ll be upset in the playoffs.

Boston, Cleveland, and LA are really good.

by Cablinasian on Jan 6, 2009 11:57 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Yeah, I think so

No way they’re as good as they started. But they’re still really, really good

No, he means in general

Quite a few people hanging out, compared to the beginning of the year even in losses. Hopefully this place is hopping for UTA tomorrow night

by atthehive on Jan 7, 2009 12:02 AM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Very satisfying.

I can’t help but think we really are contenders. If DX can take Gasol, we can beat this team in a seven game series.

by m-W on Jan 7, 2009 12:02 AM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Gotta remember though

Odom got injured, and he’s the guy who normally guards West.

by Gils_Keloids on Jan 7, 2009 12:02 AM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Fair enough

But our earlier problems weren’t just West struggling isolation-wise. It was the defense on Paul. Tonight there was a lot more movement, so even when Paul was trapped, we got some decent looks.

by atthehive on Jan 7, 2009 12:03 AM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Peja even missed

Some very make-able looks.

Anyway good win, I root for the Lakers, but I’m more of an NBA fan, so I can appreciate a good game.

CP3 is great at keeping his dribble alive. You guys got to see how great Kobe is, Byron knew to get it out of his hands in the fourth (not to mention Kobe must have been very tired after that third), too bad no one stepped up and filled the scoring vacuum

Posey, again with the key three. He’s just got a knack.

by Gils_Keloids on Jan 7, 2009 12:07 AM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Yup great game

I’m looking forward to the 4th and final matchup of these two.
