I wonder if this is why the Hornets want to do this deal
Paul severely sprained his left ankle during the third quarter in Friday’s 86-78 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers at New Orleans Arena and could be sidelined for up to two weeks, though the Hornets have not given an update on his status.
Walking with crutches and having his left foot placed in an immobilized boot, Paul said after Friday’s game that he had planned to travel with the team to Atlanta because he had about 75 family members expecting to attend the game at Philips Arena.
Via John Reid of NOLA. No sense keeping okafor if you’re going to have Paul miss several months of the season and you can package expiring contracts for a different player.
Plus with West, and a high draft pick, this could be what the Hornets are looking for. Devious I do say if it works. Sucks for Hornets fans this season though.

Plus the 2010 draft looks stacked
Especially in terms of bigs — Derrick Favors, Ed Davis, Cole Aldrich, John Henson, Donatas Motiejunas, Solomon Alabi, DeMarcus Cousins, and I could go on and on. Given how financially strapped this team is, the best long-term improvement method is a high draft pick, although it certainly isn’t going to make Paul any happier.
To secure ourselves against defeat lies in our own hands, but the opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself.

Yep
That’s the risk the Kings take with doing this deal. On the other hand, there was no guarantee the Kings would have gotten any of them.
I see this being a slam dunk for New Orleans. But not for Sacramento. Maybe I’m missing something though.

Chris Paul is no Dwyane Wade
so that would be bad.

"There were arms coming from everywhere, and I knew they weren’t going for the ball," Miller said. "I was just trying to get [the shot] up before they called some crap like ‘on the ground.’ "
"What do you want me to do?" Wright asked. "Do you want me to Derek Fisher him?"
"Give them some fucking credit, i mean for real." Jackson said.
"I just fell on my face for no reason," Bryant deadpanned. "I'm a klutz."
"Fucking right i'm preachin' it!" Carlisle replied.
"Rough life, isn't it. It's tough all over, isn't it." Smith chuckled.
