Hopefully
Bobby Brown gets a clue and realizes he is Bobby Brown, and he shouldn’t chuck 12 shots when you have people like Peja, and James Posey on the court.

Peja v. Gallinari
Let it rain!
I'm no commie, but the Reds shall be the best again!

And then the Knicks went on a 14-0 run.
Damn.

Chris Paul only has good stats because he dribbles around a lot.
…
Been lurking, not commenting, good content lately…
What this game needs is more Bobby Brown.

I think that one player that would completely change the Hornets is Rudy Fernandez.. he and Paul would be so dynamic. His ball movement, shooting, passing… man. He would be ideal next to Chris.
Or Peja could hop in a time machine. That would be nice.

David Lee and Gallinari run middle school pick and roll play, easy layup….

David Lee just beat Hilton off the dribble.

Brown’s best looking shot is the halfcourt heave. Good to know.

Actually, his best shot
is the one he doesn’t take and instead passes to Peja.

at least if he’s the one shooting the halfcourt heaves he can keep Paul, Peja, and co.’s three point percentage higher. He is a true team player.

Problem is
his halfcourt heaves don’t necessarily come at the end of quarters…

I predict 1 of 2 things will happen….Scott gets fired (I know, going out on a limb here) or Paul asks for a trade. He sees Cleveland do alot to try and help LeBron while the Hornets trade away players to save money (re: R. Butler)

Too quick. Too quick.
We’re a long way from there right now.

I could see the first happen...
IF the Hornets go way under .500 to start the season.
The second? Nah, I really don’t see that anytime soon.

That was a poetic sequence.
Brown shakes defender with awesome move, promptly launches 15 foot fadeaway clank.
We do not need an efficient, defensive backup point guard to protect the lead while Chris is out. That is a horrible idea.

Both my teams have coaches making baffling rotation decisions… gah. So frustrating. Please take Bobby Brown out and send him back to Sacramento.

What's the deal with Portland
Haven’t gotten my LP subscription so still haven’t seen ’em play.

They’re going to be okay, I think… it’s a matter of a lot of pieces trying to figure things out right now. They’re trying to make Oden play like Przybilla, which is just ridiculous. He’s drawing a double team 75% of the time he posts up and has done a very nice job passing the ball out of the double. His TOV% is related almost entirely to three in the key and pick violations, not posting up… It’s frustrating. Good things happen when we go inside to him.
The other problem is that Steve Blake is trying to be Andre Miller and Andre Miller is trying to be Steve Blake.
Nate is trying to use 09-10 players to play like we played in 08-09… With Andre at the point and Oden working well in the post, that just doesn’t work.
Also, losing Nic Batum was a big blow. While Webster has been very good defensively in his comeback from the foot injury, Batum’s loss means more minutes for Travis Outlaw… who is a higher paid and taller Bobby Brown at this point.
I think it will work itself out. The defense started slow last year, but was top ten post all-star break. Just a lot of talent and an apparent lack of understanding in how to use the talent by Nate. He has had consistent problems coaching the pick and roll on both sides of the ball. It’s what the defensive problems stem from… the offense doesn’t run the pick and roll well in practice so the defense never learns how to stop it.
If he can’t figure it out they will need to bring someone else in. I’m trying not to overreact. They are shooting 42% from the field and lost two games to playoff teams. It’s not bad at this point, just really sloppy.

Up 4 now heading into the 4th.
Let’s hope the guys pull away now.

Nice 4th quarter, Hornets.
Way to not let them back into the game.

A New Low
These are the games you have to win another poor defensive effort. I know it’s early, but this is ridiculous. They look like the same team from last year.

How long will it take for Scott to make any kind of changes to the rotation?
Why is Bobby Brown playing over Darren Collison? Why does Byron Scott still have a job?
by redzero on Nov 2, 2009 9:08 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Darren Collison
Isn’t playing because he won’t do the detrimental things to the team that Bobby Brown will. I really believe that Byron Scott wants to be fired.
by Jamian B on Nov 2, 2009 9:12 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Who knows?
Maybe he does. Or maybe he’s just ridiculously stubborn. I’m not sure.
by Caleb462 on Nov 2, 2009 9:13 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
It seems like Scott is trying to cost the Hornets each and every game.
Either he wants to lose or he is a terrible coach.
by redzero on Nov 2, 2009 9:14 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I'm not going to call him a terrible coach
His track record is fairly solid overall, and he’s consistently fielded strong defenses.
But his rotation choices have just become mind-boggling at this point, and his track record with young talent is very very questionable.
by Caleb462 on Nov 2, 2009 9:16 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Crazy loss.
Once Byron learns that BB6 and DB23 should be in street clothes, we’ll be fine.
by m-W on Nov 2, 2009 9:19 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
That's if he learns.
He is a stubborn moron. Thorton and Collison will never get any play time.
