I'll have a double recap up of the LA games after this one.
Couldn’t get to it today.
Random thoughts:
- Looks like Peja’s back in the starting lineup. JuJu has certainly got his fair shake of it thus far, and has been terrible.
- For some reason, I keep having this impression that Thornton is really small. Last night, I finally got to see him for the first time in a while… and he isn’t that small. I don’t see why he couldn’t start at the 2 and do an adequate defensive job.
- Going off that though, I don’t think Thornton/Peja would be a viable 2/3.
- Chris Paul leads the league in PER, TS%, eFG%, and Win Shares. This after a “bad” game last night.
Thornton
Is 6’4", 205 lbs. I’d say that’s just right for a 2. Sure, 6’6" would be great, but it ain’t 6’2". Nor is Marcus 175 like BB6, or 160 like Collison.
I really need like...
some high tech hacking satellite that allows me to watch any channel I want..I’m stuck with watching the NZ Breakers in the ANBL, the Black Caps in UAE and the ABs in Italy
Not working for me
Comes up with a message saying “admin has blocked this channel”
Baron
will keep posting up Collison. He might need help on that. Baron loves to post, especially against smaller guards.
It's just not fair lol
He’ll do better against the second unit of LA

Marcus needs to stay with his man.
having trouble staying with butler/davis around screens. Got a few open looks already. But yeah I’m loving this group. I think playing with the youngsters has woken Posey up perhaps.
I never thought
I’d rather see Devin shooting a 3 than driving, but his bull rush drives haven’t changed much.
Man o man
Finally when Scott uses the lineup we’ve been screaming for we actually do really well

We cant buy a win soooooooo
I think we need this more than them haha
New Orleans Hornets: The most inconsistent team in the NBA.
Just started watching
What the hell is Devin Brown doing?
New Orleans Hornets: The most inconsistent team in the NBA.
He's still Devin Brown..
I highly doubt he keeps this up for more than a game or two, but hey… its nice to see. And at the very least maybe it means this year’s Devin Brown is better than last year’s and perhaps equal to the Devin Brown he was a few years prior?
60 points in the half...
That’s gotta be some kind of record

"Thankfully, I believe tonight against the Clippers we will see our most productive starting lineup thus far into the season."
Good call..
Nice half!
I wanna see a little more from Mek, but uh… no complaints otherwise. The D wasn’t great early but tightened up.
From the Times-Pic:
“Ike Diogu will be shut down for two more weeks after a medical exam determined that his strained left knee needs a therapeutic procedure”
Rotoworld mentions that his season could be in “jeopardy” ….
This is nice
We are finally doing to another team what teams have been doing to us.
And Devin Brown!!!!
When's the last time the Hornets blew a team out?
Outside of the Magic last season.
Yeah he has really improved in that regard...
Not neccesarilly the part of his game he needs to work on the most, but hey… I’ll take it.
Rookies struggling with their shots tonight...
Collison in particular. He looks a little nervous with his shot maybe, either too strong or or too short.
Really, really glad to see them getting some extended time. The shots will fall eventually.
Yes indeed
I think it’s jitters. Can’t complain about their defense either, and neither of em give up on plays.

The most important thing to me
Is that regardless of how the rooks have shot, they’ve never let the lead slip when they’re in. And that’s what the bench is supposed to do when you’re winning. Hey, expanding the lead is great, but playing even is okay to when you’re not shooting well.
Surely not...
I don’t think Byron is going to fret too much over some missed jumpers. Atleast I hope not.
he shouldnt
he knows this team lacked defense, and so far they’ve held the lead. I don’t see a change any time soon.

Well. . .
I do love a Hornets win but I’m nowhere closed to sold after this game. Armstrong, Posey, and D. Brown played uncharacteristically well tonight.
