Wow, we could seriously get blown out tonight.

Yeah
I don’t wanna be pessimistic but I feel like this one is already lost. Yeah, this early.
But maybe not… the Bulls came out hot and hit a bunch of defended jumpers.

Well...
Considering how the quarter started, down by 11 isn’t that bad.
The defense did get noticeably better near the end of the quarter.

Totally
And them shooting 65% down from 85% doesn’t seem so bad.

2nd quarter defense has been very good
Haven’t been able to capitilize offensively very well… but if this keeps up they can keep chipping away…

I like what West is doing...
Getting to the rim, drawing fouls – I think he’s not quite comfortable with his jumper still for one thing.
But it’s been one step forward and two steps back the whole way so far.

Crowd getting vicious here
Just rained down boos at the 2:05 time out.

I don't care who is out. We just are NOT playing defense. It's not our offense except for Posey and AD.
David’s playing very well but everyone else is just slacking. I never thought I’d say this but PUT IN DEVIN BROWN!. He led our rally along with Bowen instead of damn Ely/Armstrong and Daniels. They are playing like crap especially on defense. If we can get this team down to 50% from the field we have a definite shot at this game. Work it in to D-West, let him draw the double and kick it out to Peja/Brown/Sual/Posey? If no double, then let D-West make them pay. Key to this comeback: DEFENSE.

Yeah
I do think the defense got much better in the 2nd quarter, but it seemed like they couldn’t get stops after scoring… and so couldn’t get out of the hole. West is definitely playing very well… if he can keep it up a solid defensive effort could give the team a shot.. so I agree.

Well started better.
But they ended up giving up 31 again. The starters are L double digit negative +/- and the bench is all positive.

Why is Peja not getting any looks? Yet again why is A.D. in the game over Devin Brown.

And why does Butler keep trying to take people off the dribble
No passes on the offensive end, open layups on the defensive end. Yuck.

I was gonna say the same thing but I didn't want to sound too pesimistic.

It is strange not to see Marks.
He’s been playing well lately.

Also.
Strange to see us going small so much against this tall team.

Has there been any news on Marks?
Everyone has played tonight except for him..
I’m seeing the boxscore..and TC, CP3 and MoPete arent playing..as expected..but where the hell is he??
by JChangNZ on Feb 4, 2009 9:25 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Calm down. It's not like if he would of played he could've changed the outcome like if TC or CP3 played.

I just came back from the game.
Why did the Hornets put forth effort when the game was already decided? There were so many things wrong with this game. The Hornets chose to play defense only in the forth quarter. Byron Scott kept Antonio Daniels in way too long. The first time Devin Brown was put in, the lead was brought down to single digits. As soon as Daniels was put back in, the lead doubled. And what does Byron Scott do about it? He keeps Daniels in for almost ten minutes in the third quarter. This is the third game straight that he has made stupid coaching decisions.

The PG situation is weird.
Daniels looked really good in short time. Now he looks horrible. Maybe we do miss Pargo?
by m-W on Feb 4, 2009 10:19 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I think he's just too old and beat up...
to contribute in a meaningful way for an extended period of time… his jumper is inconistent, and he no longer has the speed or agility to get into the lane consistently (he does try though.) As a playmaker I think he can be solid but only in limited minutes.

Damn right we miss Pargo. We need another scorer on our team.
