Sick of Chandler trade rumors!!!!
I’m tired of Tyson rumors like I read in Canis Hoopus. I really hope that our brass isn’t planning to dump Chandler and try to convince us fans it is a good deal. If we want to compete with any of the following teams in the playoffs we need Tyson: Houston, LA, Boston, Orlando, Phoenix, Dallas. Tyson gets too little credit for his defense, which includes his ability to wear out his opponent by running him up and down the floor. It is rare to see an opposing big man have a great offensive game against Tyson, especially when he is healthy. His offense does not matter. Solid fundamental defense and rebounds are all that matter, and he is in the elite in both areas when he has both ankles and all ten toes healthy.
We need our starters back, not just additional bodies. I’d like another bulkier rebounder to come off the bench, but any that are available won’t be able to defend like Tyson against Yao, Shaq, Amare, etc. Just say no, Mr. Bower!!!
I agree
But I don’t think he’s gonna go. I talked to a guy in the know about the trade situation across the NBA in general. Was gonna do a post on it, but forgot. Basically, he says that the Hornets are nowhere near as “broke” as the CBS and other reports indicate. The calculus of acquiring James Posey over the summer hasn’t really changed till this point. Personally, I think the Hornets will try to stay under the cap… but during the Offseason, by losing guys like Antonio Daniels. The guy I talked to also mentioned that Chris Paul is a significant factor in any decision Bower will make; he specifically told the front office that he wanted guys like Tyson Chandler to stick around if the Hornets wanted him long term.
After hearing that, I’m resting pretty easy.
Haha, hilariously sloppy game being played here by both clubs...
Nice to see Julian get that dunk though…. he looked shaky out there at first, maybe that will boost his confidence.
Hahah, this is so ugly
Also hilarious how the Memphis commentators keep talking about how the Grizz D’ing up so well on Marks and Ely. Lol.
The Hornets zone defense is working well
Memphis cant get in the lane and the jumpshots arent falling… unfortunately no one is grabbing the rebound!
WOW our offense is pathetic tonight
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
Hey guys...
I know the game ended hours ago (I was stuck in a damn meeting the whole time), but I just got finished reviewing the boxscore and discussing the game with my brother… everything seems to point to an awful performance.
Although, before we start laying blame, let’s consider the outcome of this game if David knew a single thing about keeping his cool… When every game counts, you hate to see us lose such a gimme all because our best post presence available decided to be pissy and childish.
You owe us a monster second half, David.
