Eh

Ryan Bowen brings energy and all that, but this “first thing off the bench” thing isn’t working

by atthehive on Mar 14, 2009 8:03 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

I think we all do

He was really being aggressive near the hoop and rebounding way better than Hilton. Anyone know what’s wrong with him?

Flu-Like Symptoms

Coach Scott is expecting him to play against Houston on Monday

by JChangNZ on Mar 14, 2009 8:08 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Probably.

DEVIN BROWN SUCKS! FREE MO PETE!!

Devin Brown is a basketball God!

by chandlerfan6 on Mar 14, 2009 8:09 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

How is it possible that

Mo Pete STILL has the same injury???

by atthehive on Mar 14, 2009 8:10 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

He doesn't.

He’s been dressed for a couple of games. Byron just “hasn’t fit him in the rotation.”

by m-W on Mar 14, 2009 8:14 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

He's not hurt, I'll bet any money.

Coach Scott has a grudge against Mo Pete, it’s the only logical reason. This is the absolute worst bench ever. Byron had D-West going the whole 1st quarter then starting the 2nd too. Now he wants to start D-West in the second and takes him out with 3 minutes left in the first but he forgot to put D-West back in.

Devin Brown is a basketball God!

by chandlerfan6 on Mar 14, 2009 8:14 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

This is ridiculous

We have arguably the worst bench in the entire NBA, and are paying a player 6 million dollars a year without even letting him come in?

by atthehive on Mar 14, 2009 8:15 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

This is ridiculous

This bench unit is not going to work Byron!

I really hate to say it.

But Hilton has that helpless look in his eyes that Rasual Butler had last year. I don’t know what his issues are. But I don’t think he’s going to work it out here.

by m-W on Mar 14, 2009 8:17 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Disgraceful.

Devin Brown is a basketball God!

by chandlerfan6 on Mar 14, 2009 8:20 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Maybe he'll put Julian in.

Still only -1 plus/minus. Wish more guys could say that.

by m-W on Mar 14, 2009 8:21 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

I know this team isn't going to make a run in the Playoffs...

…because when you score 2 points in a quarter and the other team scores 21….you wouldn’t see Boston, LA, Cavs or Spurs have this.

New Orleans Hornets: The most inconsistent team in the NBA.

by Grayson on Mar 14, 2009 8:22 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

I can't believe what I'm seeing...

Are they really going to get blown out by the Bulls???

COME ON! This is just…. uh…. can we start the game over?

by Caleb462 on Mar 14, 2009 8:22 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Hahaha.... only 57%!!!!

But we’re allowing a 150 points/100 possessions efficiency….

ONE HUNDRED FIFTY

Uh, wow.

DE-FENSE! DE-FENSE!

by Caleb462 on Mar 14, 2009 8:27 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

I know Scott is a better coach than Del Negro...

But see how Vinny took that timeout… even though the Bulls still have an 18-point lead?

In the words of Basketbawful, I’m not sayin… I’m just sayin.

by Caleb462 on Mar 14, 2009 8:27 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Agreed

Smart… but I doubt even Chris Paul can carry us back from down 18 with the garbage play of everyone else

by atthehive on Mar 14, 2009 8:28 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah, he does

Scott really needs to start limiting his minutes. He was the man for the first 1/4 of the year, maybe even first 1/2, but he’s been garbage lately. I don’t know if he’s just tired or what… but playing him 30 a night is not helping.

by Caleb462 on Mar 14, 2009 8:32 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

But luckily they haven't helped Chicago

Atleast CP3 helped the team put together a run. 14 down at half actually sounds nice compared to what it looked like it might have been. I still say we win this.

by Caleb462 on Mar 14, 2009 8:37 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Me too

I’m feeling strangely optimistic

by atthehive on Mar 14, 2009 8:39 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Did give us that Rebound

That lead to Paul layup

Ha. That makes me think of the Watchmen. Just saw that today.

After the Comedian says, they all say at some point how this or that is a joke.

Brilliant.

If you liked the directorial style of 300, if you like non-linear stories, with dark themes and gray morals. I loved it.

You do have to plan it ahead.

2:43 running time or something like that. But it’s not a movie that feels like it’s dragging on. Never loses you.

by m-W on Mar 14, 2009 8:45 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Nice

I saw Dances with Wolves last week and felt like strangling myself around Hour 2.

After which there were 2 more hours. Yeah….

So you're saying

it was kind of like this game

by ticktock6 on Mar 14, 2009 8:49 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Well

I think we have a comeback left in us. We’ll have to start the 2nd half quick though.

Yes!

by chandlerfan6 on Mar 14, 2009 8:38 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Too bad we don't have any three point shooters other than Sual

With Peja out. You know. Like Mo. Oh wait, we do have him.

New Orleans Hornets: The most inconsistent team in the NBA.

by Grayson on Mar 14, 2009 8:40 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah what the hell Byron...

I wish I had his phone number. I’d say “Hey jackass! Yeah, I called you to call you a jackass. Also, put Mo Pete in the game. He’s sort of good.”

by Caleb462 on Mar 14, 2009 8:41 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

I almost spit out my drink.

Like that guy in Happy Gilmore? “You suck, you Jackass!”

by m-W on Mar 14, 2009 8:43 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Well

Mo is only shooting 41% on threes. Devin Brown, on the other hand, is connecting on a stellar 29%, so it only makes sense that he should be taking 10 times as many threes as Mo.

by atthehive on Mar 14, 2009 8:41 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Well Byron's old school.

He doesn’t like those new-fangled “stats”. Doesn’t believe in them. If you just work hard, then you must be good. What more could you need?

by m-W on Mar 14, 2009 8:44 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

True, true

I’ve heard Devin Brown can pull a loaded dump truck with his teeth.

by atthehive on Mar 14, 2009 8:45 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Devin Brown's a basketball player?

New Orleans Hornets: The most inconsistent team in the NBA.

by Grayson on Mar 14, 2009 8:46 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

The Hornets should start drafting players out of the strongman competition

Hey, maybe those guys can rebound? At the very least they’d always be good for a nice hard foul.

by Caleb462 on Mar 14, 2009 8:47 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

LOLLL Did you watch that?

I literally watched the Strongman for 2 hours a day last week.

It’s so unbelievably engrossing

by atthehive on Mar 14, 2009 8:48 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Ha, I haven't watched the recent one...

But I’ve watched many of them before, and yeah, they are fascinating.

by Caleb462 on Mar 14, 2009 8:49 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

But seriously..

..when will Mo return? I remeber Byron saying he was happy just to have him in uniform.

New Orleans Hornets: The most inconsistent team in the NBA.

by Grayson on Mar 14, 2009 8:51 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Uh... leaving guys like Salmons open from beyond the arc is stupid, okay Hornets?

And wide open on an inbounds play with only 3 ticks left….

Blah.

New Orleans Hornets: The most inconsistent team in the NBA.

by Grayson on Mar 14, 2009 9:01 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Good question

He’ still determined, it shows in his face and in his play. I’m not sure I see that from anyone else.

by Caleb462 on Mar 14, 2009 9:02 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

CP3 has to absolutely take over if we want to win this game.

Let’s try to get it down to 10 by the fourth and then DONT PUT THE BENCH IN!

Devin Brown is a basketball God!

by chandlerfan6 on Mar 14, 2009 9:02 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Problem is

If they can’t stop Chicago he can score 50 and they wouldn’t care because they are still winning.

by RonD on Mar 14, 2009 9:04 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

David West is playing SO LAZY!

Devin Brown is a basketball God!

by chandlerfan6 on Mar 14, 2009 9:04 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

All this team should be doing is concentrating on D

Because CP is the offense. Just play defense he’ll score

by RonD on Mar 14, 2009 9:07 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Seriously

Everyone might as well stay back on D.

by atthehive on Mar 14, 2009 9:08 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Any hockey fans here?

Posey should just drop his gloves and take someone out. We need that kind of fire. If Peja comes back we’ll be fine without him for a few.

by m-W on Mar 14, 2009 9:08 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Anyone ever see the game where the Lakers

came back from 30 down to start the 4th to beat the Mavs? Like 2002 or so? It always gives me hope in games like these.

by m-W on Mar 14, 2009 9:11 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Yeah I always have that kind of hope

But it always makes it worse because you end being dissapointed 98% of the time. I’m not sure I can take anymore of this.

by Caleb462 on Mar 14, 2009 9:14 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

I'm still not sure how this happened

Man every single time I get excited about this team’s chances again they lay an egg like this. Blahh….. I guess you can say its just an off night but they shouldn’t be having off nights like this against a 29-win team during the most important time of the regular season. Utah lost today….. it was a perfect chance to jump up a little more in the standings.

This sucks.

by Caleb462 on Mar 14, 2009 9:17 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Yeah, I'm not sure we can write this off as an off night

More like a night against an underrated team that completely exposes our utter lack of depth and foolish coaching. That sounds about right.

by atthehive on Mar 14, 2009 9:19 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

yeah

well said.

Sometimes I hate being emotionally invested in this team.

by Caleb462 on Mar 14, 2009 9:19 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

We should go out with this lineup to start the fourth...

CP3
Mo Pete
Julian
Bowen
Chandler

Every offensive play, screen and roll with Chandler and PAUL NEVER PASSES THE BALL UNLESS ITS FOR WIDE OPEN LAYUPS!!!!!!!!!!!

Devin Brown is a basketball God!

by chandlerfan6 on Mar 14, 2009 9:17 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Words cannot express

how furious I am right now, seeing Mo Pete come in when we’re 30 points down… when we haven’t HIT A THREE ALL GAME AND HE IS A 3 PT SHOOTER.

by chandlerfan6 on Mar 14, 2009 9:21 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

lol i said the same thing

But its easy to hit shots when TC and DWest are nowhere near you!!!!! The bulls announcers made a funny but sad comment, They said it looks like TC is playing for the bulls and not hornets.

There’s absolutely no hustle or fight in this team.

by RonD on Mar 14, 2009 9:25 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah he definitely should be

Losing to an under .500 team when you are in the playoff race… and losing like this?? Just ridiculous.

by Caleb462 on Mar 14, 2009 9:30 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

8 minutes to go and Scott's pulled the starters

Never seen a coach give up like that before

by JChangNZ on Mar 14, 2009 9:28 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Hey look, I’m just as frustrated as everyone else is and I was just making a comment on how I have never seen it happen before

by JChangNZ on Mar 14, 2009 9:30 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

I was meant what I said, literally. “Never seen a coach give up like that before”. Didn’t make a comment on how he should’ve kept the starters and it was wrong to do so…

by JChangNZ on Mar 14, 2009 9:33 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Word

I know, I was also just making a comment

Haha, I guess we are all really pissed… it’s cool dude.

Well I’ve had enough misery for one night.

I bet we beat Houston though. It seems like the team usually wins the game that comes after they embarass themselves.

I want someone to go balistic at this team.

Like Chris Paul or Scott to just loose it and swear at them because they need a kick up the ass.
