If we win this game.....

then we know for sure that this team has heart. CP3 and D-West will have to shine if we are gonna win this game.

Hubie on Hilton "Loves to finish with the left hand"

As horrible as this season has been, that makes me smile. Who’d have ever guessed.

by Rohan on Mar 29, 2009 7:21 PM CDT reply actions

They have to go to the basket to get some calls.

Can’t just shoot and expect to get to the line. Chris has to be offensively aggressive as well.
I really wish they could up the tempo because the half court sets will not be that successful vs spurs.

by RonD on Mar 29, 2009 7:29 PM CDT reply actions

That *almost* got out of hand

Good recovery… down a few points but I like the flow of the game right now.

That said I’m with you Ron… they need to try to get to the basket. Spurs are trying to prevent that so they should get some calls.

by Caleb462 on Mar 29, 2009 7:30 PM CDT reply actions

Well it could be worse

They will need to make some 3s. I dont know who but somebody needs to to offset Ginobli’s 3s. seems to be on auto vs Hornets from 3.

by RonD on Mar 29, 2009 7:37 PM CDT reply actions

Hopefully either Butler or Mo Pete

Butler has been slumping a bit from 3 lately… I keep waiting for him to start hitting again.

+3 in 2 2nd quarter minutes

Ugly as it was, I’ll take it every time!

by Rohan on Mar 29, 2009 7:43 PM CDT reply actions

Also

I love LOVE that ESPN always puts Hubie Brown on the Hornets.

by Rohan on Mar 29, 2009 7:44 PM CDT reply actions

here here

I can’t stand Mark Jackson and crew

by RonD on Mar 29, 2009 7:45 PM CDT up reply actions

+3 in 6 minutes the final result

Nice… but why the AD/CP lineup? Why not hold out Paul a few more minutes since AD is playing well?

by Rohan on Mar 29, 2009 7:54 PM CDT reply actions

West on Duncan will not work.

You need him to score. He will get in foul trouble guarding Duncan.

Chris!! You have to score. Shoot the open shots.

by RonD on Mar 29, 2009 8:04 PM CDT reply actions

What option do we have though

Oh right… Melvin Ely. The guy who played spectacular D on TD in the playoffs.

Did Byron just like… forget that he exists?

by Rohan on Mar 29, 2009 8:05 PM CDT up reply actions

Good half.

-4 but I’m satisfied. They just need to make sure SA doesn’t go on a run in the 3rd. So many of those playoff games last year were decided in the 3rd…

We could easily jump the Rockets in the standings within the next 5 games.

Our schedule:
@ Kings
@ Clippers
@ Warriors
vs. Jazz
@ Heat

Rockets schedule:
@ Suns
@ Lakers
vs. Blazers
vs. Magic
@ Kings

With the way things have been lately

Im trying to not even think about all that stuff, I just wanna watch one game at a time.

by Caleb462 on Mar 29, 2009 8:19 PM CDT up reply actions

I love the excitement in the arena.

I just hope they come out with the win

JuJu!

JuJu AGAIN!

Devin Brown is a basketball God!

by chandlerfan6 on Mar 29, 2009 8:42 PM CDT up reply actions

Yeah

He might scare me more than any other wing in the league (yes, more than Kobe, since Kobe settles for the step back against good D). When Ginobili drives, the WORST result for the Spurs is him at the line. And they’re all legitimate foul calls too.

by Rohan on Mar 29, 2009 8:55 PM CDT up reply actions

He reminds me of Paul Pierce with his driving ability.

He’s always at the line.

Ugh

Don’t let it slip

by Rohan on Mar 29, 2009 8:49 PM CDT reply actions

Oh i love it

and they pushed the tempo. Something we’ve been crying for forever.

by RonD on Mar 29, 2009 8:56 PM CDT up reply actions

Yeah

They are pushing the break HARD… and I’m wondering, where has this been? But once again, better late than never I guess. Great stuff.

by Caleb462 on Mar 29, 2009 9:02 PM CDT up reply actions

this is the hustle

thats been missing all season. this is the team that got me hooked last year. they can really beat the spurs today. they just have to play hard

by RonD on Mar 29, 2009 9:13 PM CDT up reply actions

Butler is off

But the defense is keeping them ahead. Just need one good 3 to get some breathing room

by RonD on Mar 29, 2009 9:27 PM CDT reply actions

AT A BOY D-WEST!!!

Devin Brown is a basketball God!

Anyone look at +- tonight?

Starts other than DX, -13 summed. DX +11. Bench, +22 summed.

by m-W on Mar 29, 2009 11:00 PM CDT reply actions

That's the most fun I had at a game.

The Spurs’ big three all played well, so there is no excuse. They took too many 3s, and they paid for it.

by redzero on Mar 29, 2009 11:04 PM CDT reply actions

Not sure they took too many 3s.

Just missed too many. A little luck on our side. But I’ll take it.

by m-W on Mar 29, 2009 11:13 PM CDT up reply actions

Yeah

Didn’t like a couple early clock 3’s from Butler (though he’s good at them).

by Rohan on Mar 29, 2009 11:21 PM CDT up reply actions

Good win Hornet fans. Nice free throw shooting. 32-33 is amazing. I don’t even know what it feels like to have that much confidence when my team shoots fts.

I'm comfortable winning -- Emmanuel Ginobili

Heh

Spurs got pretty unlucky with shooting.
