Devin Brown is a basketball God!

Nice job on the Round Table and the Stats 105 posts. Sorry I’ve been MIA on the comments lately.
Do we really need...
to watch ATL’s streamers and 12 more commericals?

Sort of related question
Is TNT going all static-y for anyone else? For me, it’s the only channel that is going super static all day.
Simmer down.
No need to play like it’s high school.

CP3 getting some good looks
Hopefully he’ll hot up and hit them later on in the game
I like CP3 driving and scoring in the paint. We need that.
But he needs to be careful not to get injured
I don't see Marks sitting on the bench
Where is he..
Surprised to see Hilton in first and not Marks.
Normally I’d say that is a bad thing. But Hilton has played Denver well, so maybe not.
All I'm saying
Is didn’t he have an oddly effective week? With the exception of those free throws, that is.

The way Hilton's been playing, it's a little more than odd
I'm proud of my damn strong football team. Have a great day!

Chandler's coming back early?
There is something up…
Wow
Chandler comes in; amazing rebounds. We’ve missed you, bud!
I'm proud of my damn strong football team. Have a great day!
The birdman is owning
every Hornets backup
I'm proud of my damn strong football team. Have a great day!
Put Marks in!
I still remember that massive block Marks did on him during the season
I knew it was going to happen...
But I wanted to freaking scream when Devin Brown came in the game instead of Mo Pete. So freaking frustrating
I hate it when teams get awarded when they just chuck an airball
Especially when they also get fouled as well with the bucket counting
No it definitely looked like wincing
But hope its nothing because we need him
That could've gotten out of hand right there
But Paul hits the 3, sets up the Butler 3, sets up the Peja 3.
It's funny
The comment count is going pretty much at the exact same pace here and there.
Let’s beat them!!!
I love...
Byron Scott’s disappointed father look.

Doesn't look like a flagrant though.

No it wasn't but Martin looks to do things like that
Every game this year he’s fouled CP hard purposely looking for something to happen. But that’s his game i guess
Nope.

Lol
I might be the only non-Nugget fan in the whole world who’s always like Kenyon. I dunno why… I just can’t dislike him.
And he's looking to start something.
And that’s why I don’t like him. Just play the game.
yelling = technical?
It makes me wonder really just how much leniancy is given to star players sometimes..
These guys are just trying to keep the game in control.
Actually, it’s a great result. Because if Martin flips out again, he’s gone.
He's a little girl. WHY NO CHANDLER?!??!!??!?

That was a BS Call
But armstrong has to do better
There have been a lot of sketchy calls here.
Not saying it’s influencing the game per se, but that other foul on Marks earlier, the replay showed no contact.
Again..he’s been getting those calls all season. Just another player on the court. Another star player wouldn’t be getting those calls.
I really wish the NBA would take a good look at the officiating
And try to fix it. Everyone knows there are problems… from the hardcore to the casual fan, the players, the coaches – whether its home cookin or star calls or flops. But Stern will never admit that there’s anything seriously wrong… even though doing so would probably garner a lot of good will.
Yeah, fouls really hurting
Half of them questionable…
Still in the game though… need to have a strong 3rd
Is anyone watching the TNT halftime show?
(RANT ALERT).
Kenny Smith just said that the Hornets won’t win this series because CP will not have enough energy to stay competitive for a whole series because… wait for it… he’s on 6 feet tall and weighs 185 pounds.
(let that sink in)
I think the point he was trying to make is that Billups will overpower him and thus get the better of him over the series (since he’s bigger), but the logic he’s presented us with instead insinuates that the Magic will be facing the Rockets in the Finals… we’ll just have to wait and see who wins the “energetic” battle between Yao and Howard.
Oof.
Oh wait,
I just remembered that Houston has Mutumbo coming off the bench. Rockets win. Done and done.
No I can't watch that stuff...
I can’t stand Kenny Smith… or Reggie Miller, or most of these guys outside of Hubie Brown.
I like Marv...
But maybe he just sounds good because he’s talking with Reggie. It’s like the Joe Buck/Troy Aikman thing.
I've seen some say it as if they picked it with a dart board
Many say Denver is too deep but give so much respect to CP they say Hornets in 7.
Peter Brown, on Sporting News Radio..
said the Hornets have a good shot.
But Denver is definitely the majority selection.
We can't guard a three shooter
to save our lives. With Billups hot, this is looking very ugly
I'm proud of my damn strong football team. Have a great day!
WTF IS THIS!?!?!
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
Cp can't start shooting 3s
that’s not the game they can win
Oh Lord Stern is here
No wonder the refs are calling whistle after whistle.

Hey look at that, we're getting some calls.
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
He's a disgrace. I literally hate Devin Brown. No joke. All he does is take minutes away from our better players.
When he’s in he just screws up so why play him you ask? No one in the world knows except for Byron. We would be in this game if Chauncey didn’t go off.

It's not Devin Browns fault...
Its Byrons.
I really have nothing against Brown. Dude is asked to play so he’s going to play… playbadly yes, but hey – he is who he is.
Yet again another D.B. turnover. He sucks so bad. I think I could make more shots.

I have never understood it
All year. And it’s burning us in a big game in the playoffs. Big time.
http://hornetshype.com
I wish it was a dream...
And I ‘d wake up and realize that, hey… that’s not Devin Brown, it’s Morris Peterson… the guy who shoots 35-40% from three, plays good defense and STARTED in last year’s playoffs.
West is very rarely stifled like he was tonight, it was surprsing to see
He did have some open shots earlier… but in the 3rd Kenyon just locked him down
David West has nothing tonight
He just literally gave them 5 points. Unless something happens quick, Scott should start looking to rest Paul the other starters and not waste energy.
I'm proud of my damn strong football team. Have a great day!
We have to get game 2
Truthfully… I haflway expected a loss tonight, but if they go down 0-2 it will be awfully hard to climb back. We aren’t the Spurs.
Take it easy. He just sucks.

Yeah, Paul should see the bench right now.
I don’t think they need a better game plan. I think they need a plan. No defense whatsoever.
And oh yeah, Devin Brown should be nowhere near the basketball court. Ever.
I'm proud of my damn strong football team. Have a great day!
He should be asked to stay in New Orleans and watch the game from home.

Would it really hurt at this point to start 4Q
with Hilton, Posey, Julian, Mo, and AD. And just see what happens?
OFFENSIVE FOUL MY A***
That was so dramatised by Andersen!
PUT SEAN MARKS ON FOR THREE POINTERS!
Far out…this is unbelievable..we were in it for 2 quarters and then just lost it
hey, at least the Hornets laid an egg in a road game
and didn’t throw away home court advantage like the Blazers did.
Denver is getting foul calls at home
that Portland didn’t.
But yeah… both teams are down 0-1, with three away and three at home remaining. I think the Hornets have a much better chance than the Blazers have.

It could happen...
Chauncy can’t shoot like this forever… right? I mean, that’s not possible… right?
regression to the mean..
it has to happen, right? Ugh.

Doesn't matter
So much other stuff is wrong with the Hornets. Tyson is clearly hurt, the bench is abysmal, the coaching is awful.
Chauncey regressing won’t affect much.
yeah
I was really hoping that Tyson could be half of what he was last year.

Well..
Hopefully one thing the Hornets learned from the series with the Spurs is that getting an early lead in a series means nothing. You have to win 4 or lose 4.
That said, its definitely important for the Hornets to grab game 2. I’m not saying its impossible for them to win the series if they don’t, but it would be much more unlikely.
comparing stats
mo pete – 2 pts 0 – 2 FG 2 -2 FT 1 reb 1 ast 1 stl 0 stl 0 blockTO in 5 min
brown – 2 prs 0 -2 FG 2 – 2 FT 1 reb 0 ast 0 stl 0 blocks 2 TO in 12 min
whos better
Well Hornets fans...
at least this didn’t happen to you on your homecourt.
Best of luck in the rest of the series from a Blazer’s fan who probably hates the Thuggets
more than you.

Yeah, who woulda thunk that a career percentage
superior to Brown would mean that he could fairly regularly play better than him?
ha
“percentages.” Just nerdy stuff that doesn’t actually matter in the game.

I really hope they pointed him out
That’s just pathetic.
I'm a Nugs fan who was at the game.
FYI…the crowd boo’d that guy loudly and cheered when security caught him and dragged his @ss out and presumably arrested him.
I go to lots of Nugs games and I have never seen that happen before. I guess some people just can’t handle their booze.
"C" is for Championship...that's good enough for meeeee!!!

Peterson trying to show Coach Scott he can make plays at the buzzer
Haha what was that.

by Avinash Kunnath on Apr 20, 2009 12:19 AM CDT reply actions
Actually, I think Byron would like it.
No quit. It’s the kind of think Mo has to do to try and prove to Byron he’s the guy to give minutes to.
