What can we expect?
Another performance like Saturday’s? Yikes, was that an embarrassment!

I hope we don't lose by more than 30...
That’s the least the Hornets can do.
Man, we gotta run while they're missing shots.
These are the shots they’ve made every other game. Keep going to the hole, David. Keep drawing fouls, Bop.
We aren't losing.
That has to count for something.
LET'S GO HORNETS!!!!
I still believe. …i’m screaming my lungs off at home…it’s quite funny.
I must go to New Orleans next year to cheer them on…i still believe, man, i do!
29-29 NOLA
How was that not a blocking foul just prior to the Birdman dunk 10:27 2nd???

pyrrhic victory, of course he makes them both then promptly defends nene like he’s muggsy bogues’s size

wtf?!? I don’t know about that late call, Birdman gave West a much more obvious high five earlier… in DX’s face
by Abstract Capital on Apr 29, 2009 10:36 PM CDT reply actions
The only thing keeping me from totally flipping out about the missed calls...
…is the fact that they have finally been holding the Nuggets guards responsible for their dirty play. Lots of fouls on them…
UMmmmmm...or that foul on Anthony?
Wow. That was as week as the call on West. Should have been a foul on Marks. Do these guys have depth perception problems?
Um...okay...admittedly spoke too soon...
Wasn’t that ball totally out of bounds when Marks went to save it?
martin looks like such a douche
i agree, & daniels on smith seems to be working

Ron Artest vs JR Smith
Who takes more idiotic shots?
Artest is a joy to watch
nothing quite like an off-balance 27-footer off the dribble when there is a 7’6’’ giant screaming for the ball in the low post.

This is the worst officiating I've seen in a looong time
And this series has been bad in general. HOW is that charge on Melo????
hahahaha smith is guarding himself with that shot selection, nice one and so true. god kenyon martin with a 3? it feels like the rapture and i got left behind

Tyson has been playing on one ankle.

i know that's why i said 'late'
He was a pimp last year (2007-08) though, the most dunks in the L.

i'm kind of half watching the game, half doing my homework
but mostly not doing either so i’m just talking out of my blazerfanboy ass frankly, but i’ve seen marks play some solid ball, not in this series, but in the reg. season. i’ve tuned out some of these games because i feel pain for your team ( i was at game 1 of the rockets massacre of the blazers).
Hasn’t Armstrong always been overlooked as a solid bench player?
"The refs have caused a bird-pig flu pandemic"
Oh, ok then. I really hope they don't trade him in the offseason or they're screwed.

what do you think of that whole trade to OKC that didn't happen?
Dosen’t that tell you that they feel that Chandler is costing them too much and not producing enough? To me, it seems like it must mess with a guy’s head about whether the hornets really want him around, then to get rejected from the thunder, has got to feel pretty bad too.

damnit!
daniels 3 didnt count, i hate to say it but that could be the margin of W/L for the game

That's how the Lakers won Game 4 of the WCF in 02.
They got a halftime three that shouldn’t of counted.
Come on, people.
Lakers so far are the obvious favorites in the West because they’re the best in the West, so far.
Honestly, how can Professor Charles be the only one
to see Nuggets players are landing more unwhistled hits on CP than Pacquiao on de la Hoya
by Abstract Capital on Apr 29, 2009 10:59 PM CDT reply actions
At least De la Hoya tried to fight back.
I think Sean Marks should knock out Chauncey Billups.

The thing that worries me is that Melo and Billups haven't shot yet.
And when they do get going…it’ll get harder.
Billups...3? 3 pointers in this quarter?
where is our three-point shooting? that will be handy right now.
Man, why don't any of the teammates go and pick up CP3 after he falls?
It has to be really dispiriting to him.

Wow, this got out of hand real quick.
Devin Brown is a basketball God!
Today, Ian Thomsen said CP3 is going to want out of New Orleans
that would suck.

the word on SI NBA Truth & Rumors blip of Tayshaun & Rip coming here & DX leaving for MoTown?

less frontcourt depth
and more wings? Yikes.

I mean
Tayshaun is a better defensive presence than DX, but yeah I don’t know Rip is pretty much a Peja clone with more athleticism
by Abstract Capital on Apr 29, 2009 11:58 PM CDT reply actions
Tayshaun scares me
he has a lot of miles on him… after not missing games for years, injuries have started to creep up.

Is there any feasible way to drop the hammer on this bench
and completely remanning it with different personnel?
by Abstract Capital on Apr 29, 2009 11:59 PM CDT reply actions
Really
I wish we had had Wilcox & Joe Smith
by Abstract Capital on Apr 30, 2009 12:02 AM CDT reply actions
Rip Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince
I hope they are acquired. And if not, Ben Gordon or David Lee would be nice.
Why
Don’t we trade for Chris Kaman? IF he can stay healthy, & everyone knows he had a bad year in terms of health but really juxtaposed to Tyson’s terribly meager production even when on the floor it might as well be moot between them in terms of durability, but the Clips want to dump a big, Camby’s expiring contract would probably command too much in return, and they seem to like Z-Bo, Kaman would be an awesomely solid post presence on O & D for CP
by Abstract Capital on Apr 30, 2009 12:55 AM CDT reply actions
Old?
He’s 27 years old and has only a couple of years of wear and tear, we can’t get a Sheed-type, he’s a realistic possibility & a pretty good fit

Hey thanks for all the comments Nuggets fans. I think the game threads stayed really civil. Good series.
Hornets Fans
Thanks man, as a Nuggets fan I certainly don’t mean to troll and I think you guys played a great series. The one thing I said before this series was that NOH poor play at the end of the season was a sign of the starters wearing down. When your car is breaking down, it’s easy to kick the tires, bang on the hood and keep on driving. But you may be ignoring the inevitable truth that you’re whole ride needs some fixin’. Well as a fan of a team who has never had playoff success in 15 years let me say it pays to be patient. CP3 one of the best talents in the NBA for many years to come. It would be a mistake to fire Byron Scott. I think if he does get let go, another team like Sacramento picks him up and becomes a contender in a only a year or so. Basically I think this Nuggets team was on a mission this year with Chauncey at the helm to make some noise in the playoffs. I salute the Hornets for getting the 7th seed in a tough western conference this year.
