Do we have any chance at all?
My question is do we we have any chance at all at signing 1 of the big free agents in 2010. From a "Having Fun While Winning" standpoint, there's no other player in the league that i would rather play alongside than Chris Paul. So I definitely think he's a huge attraction, but my question is geared more towards the financial aspects of the idea? I really would like some feed back on this, and the only reason why I am even saying this is because it's telling me that I need to have 75 words.

Possibly.
Assuming they haven’t already been moved, Peja and MoPete become “expiring contracts” entering the 2010 offseason, to the tune of about 18 million. I believe Chandler can opt out as well, which would bumps it up to around 30 million.
I doubt LeBron or Wade could be had, but Bosh or (if they have anything left) Michael Redd or even Shaq could be possibilities.

they’ll be expiring contracts for the ‘10-’11 season, but contracts have to expire by the ‘09-’10 season for teams to have the cap room to sign a FA in the summer of ’10.

Chandler won't opt out
He’s overpaid as it is, so he’ll probably keep the money for another reason, unless the Hornets do something to piss him off.
