As crazy as it sounds, Hornets need to Trade CP3
I don't think this organization is going to compete for a championship any time soon. Agreed? They have too much tied up in Peja and Okafor. West is an All Star caliber player...on offense. By trading CP3, they can get loads of talent/picks in return. Dallas would jump all over this. Don't say that trading him kills basketball in NO. Actually it does. Sorry. Rebuild now like the Blazers did a few years ago.

Completly disagree from this.
After this season Peja’s big expiring contract will become a huge trading chip. Also if the team can move Peja next year we could possibly get some talent in return.
No time to panic, if the team can get that elusive wingman this team can become an elite team in the next 2 to 3 years.

Also forgot to mention the fact how crazy the concept of trading CP is....
The man is the only thing this organisation has ever had…he put NO basketball on the map.

agreed
We need a solid swingman who can start, and a another big person who can defend, rebound, and can score a little bit and this team would be fine.
Ugh, so ridiculous...
CP gives the team the best opportunity to compete for a championship… no matter what. With CP you are probably always a playoff team and always have something to build on. CP is the caliber of player that you just DONT trade. Take that trash somewhere else buddy.
One thing I can agree with -
The crazy part.
CP3 is the franchise, the cornerstone. You can’t possibly retrieve his value via trade. This would be like when Milwaukee sent Kareem to the Lakers for…for…for…You just don’t do it, unless Paul holds a gun to franchises head and demands out.

Is there some law
that states there must be “Trade our Best Player” posts everywhere? Trade Chris Paul? I’d want to cause physical harm to the person who suggested that if I was a Hornets fan.

When we exploded our team, our best player was 1/3 as good as CP3. I don’t know what your problems are (hard to see your games here with my cable package … would love to watch Paul play more) but I have trouble believing that he is it. Who’s better to build around at this point? The only clear answer (imho) is LeBron. Take our team: I love Brandon Roy, think he’s a wonderful basketball player, probably the best player Portland has ever had since clyde, and I would still trade straight up for CP3 and giggle all the way home. You may be right of course, but why do think he’s the problem.

I agree with one of the previous posts saying Chris Paul is a player you just dont trade. He is incredibly young and probably the best point guard in the entire NBA. Its not like he is aging and needs to be moved for younger players and picks. With him missing most of the remainder of the season there is a pretty good chance you guys will land a decent lottery pick anyways. The NBA is not a win now at all cost league. You need to have a player to build around with young talent (ex: thunder) and Chris Paul is definately top 5 players to build a franchise around. Just hope your talent evaluators are able to make a good pick this year and wait it out. CP3 will make the players around him better. He is as close to untradeable as almost anyone in this league (minus lebron and wade).
