Hornets on the Internets: Small Business Saturday Edition
Your morning links, brought to you by Willie Green being an efficient part of the Hornets' offense.
- The Hornets win.
- Ian Thomsen has a great article on Chris Paul's relationship with David West. If this summer's trade rumors had you doubting him, CP's answers should put your mind to rest. Definitely a good read. Also has some Monty Williams and Tyson Chandler in there.
- Marcus Thornton's name continues to come up in lists of players about to be dealt. Sadly, his continued limited role in the offense gives more weight to the rumors.
- Monty Williams continues to be ridiculously modest in his post-game interviews.
- Going around the NBA: Dallas beats San Antonio. The Bees will now play San Antonio on Sunday for the division lead. Deron Williams leads the Jazz past the Lakers, and the Thunder (who play the Hornets on Monday) beat the Pacers in overtime.
- It might interest you that Mbenga is not the only DJ on the Hornets. David West, going under the clever alias "David West", records music as a moderately famous trance artist, signed on the Anjunadeep label. (ed: not really)

just goes to show....
the sports business today is one tough business I want no part of.
First, and this is related to the next story, I could not handle any player being involved with the business of the team.
MAYBE Michael Jordan has a chance at the table, but even he was told to take a seat and be quiet.
You want to have a say, buy part and then it better be the majority shares.
Next…
“Going around the NBA: Dallas beats San Antonio. The Bees will now play San Antonio on Sunday for the division lead. Deron Williams leads the Jazz past the Lakers, and the Thunder (who play the Hornets on Monday) beat the Pacers in overtime. "
…is this parity or what!?
I mean A beats B, B beats C and then C beats A.
I think many people are right…don’t pay attention tothe NBA until the play-offs, and even then the Semis or Finals.
Until then it’s home rules, injuries and records don’t matter ’cause everybody still gets in!!!
Right but
home court advantage is a massive, massive advantage to have in the playoffs. Especially this year, where teams 3-7 look pretty evenly matched, homecourt advantage could easily be the deciding factor.
that is most likely...
VERY few teams have the meaness to feek energized by opposing crowds, like Michael Jordan was.
It seems he took a special joy in making home teams boo him, then their own team!
He seemed to find satisfaction in their pain! For players like that, road or home…made no difference.
Winning was the ONLY thing.
They even feel good about beating their mothers in board games!
I am SO SICK
Of seeing The Heat or LAL on TV!
Somebody PLEASE stop this.
I mean do they really think everybody wants to see the Heat play every other day?
Nobody likes basketball so damn much they are willing to watch them no matter what.
I am sick of these two teams.
Taking A Look At That Link
It doesn’t really seem that Marcus is all that likely to be traded. The plan all along was to package him with a bad contract for a great talent. Marcus has value, but with his minimal salary, it will be hard to gain a return on it. Unless teams are convinced that Marcus Banks’ decent expiring is worth taking on just to get Marcus.
