How Would You Feel About Rip Hamilton In Charlotte?

One of Larry Brown's all-time favorites is on the block, but I think it's to the point where we start looking past who Larry would want as I don't think he knows what he wants sometimes himself.

A few months ago, I posted a thread about the top 10 players I thought the Bobcats would look into picking up this year (  http://www.rufusonfire.com/2010/5/2/1452920/top-10-players-likely-to-be ), and Rip Hamilton, at the time, made a lot of sense to me because of our need for offense, Larry's championship years with him, and the pattern the Bobcats had set towards building a team. At the moment, I'm not so sure. It just depends on what we give up for him I suppose, but here is a little tidbit I picked up on it over the internet........

During Chad Ford's chat on Wednesday, he was asked about Richard "Rip" Hamilton and possibility of the veteran shooting guard being traded.

Ford responded: "Pistons have been close on a few things with Rip, almost landed Tyson Chandler this summer ... but he's not helping himself right now. I think Charlotte is one of the few teams out there with genuine interest."

Hamilton is making $12.5 million this season and will earn the same in 2001-12 and 2012-13, although the final season is only partially guaranteed.

: So how would you guys feel about having Rip in Charlotte? He can probably provide a much needed spark to our dreadful offense.
