Peja is more important than you think
Who would have thought that this aging, past his prime, overpaid veteran who can't even defend is one of the keys to the Hornets' basic survival? The thing is we have been 4-16 without Peja Stojakovic and it has destoyed hopes for getting anywhere near the playoffs or anywhere at all. His mere presence on the court gives everyone especially Chris Paul and recently Darren Collison a lot of breathing room to drive, score, rip apart defenders and do whatever they want to. This effect would be best utilized if we get a center who can dominate in the paint since Emeka Okafor really isn't meant to be a 20 points a night guy . For the off-season it would probably be best to keep him, and once his contract is up re-signing him for a lower priced contract would be best for the Hornets; but then again what do you guys think?

peja's awful
Because we were 4-16 without him doesn’t factually establish that Peja’s important, it could mean any number of things. It’s most likely that we were that bad without him because we designed our offense/defense to be too centered on his deteriorating skills. Eg, even if we had a worse record without Peja, it probably just means that our scheming was poor and we would’ve done better to adapt the offense to be more dependent on the young scorers. You need more evidence to establish what you’re arguing

Peja still has it offensively
If he gets going, he’s unstoppable. But he is highly overpaid and can’t seem to stay on the court. The fact that we went 4-16 without him probably has more to do with the fact that CP3 was out for a number of those games as well.
Peyton, I can eat Oreos faster than you!!!!
Peja isn't as valuable as his contract
I like Peja, and he can still score, but he’s getting older and can’t stay healthy. I would like to see the Hornets unload him in a trade, but I’m not sure if anyone would want him. I view him as an expendable commodity.
