Around SBN: Miikka Kiprusoff Wins 300th Game, Buffalo Crushes Boston

The 2010 @tH Approval Ratings: Peja Stojakovic

Positives: 37.5% from three (his lowest in 13 years... which is pretty ridiculous), 89.7% from the stripe, highest assist rate in 5 years, decent defensively especially against slower, off-the-dribble shooter types, Peja Heads!

Negatives: Played in only 62 games, struggled on two pointers, usage rate dropped to a career low 18.6%, career lows in offensive and defensive rebounding %'s, increasingly (but expectedly) slow against off-the-dribble drivers (a defensive role the team still inexplicably deployed him heavily in)

My Grade: 3

3's What I'd Give

Someone closed the poll too early!!

Just in case anyone cares, I wrote a big season in review for the Hornets back in April and that’s where I’m getting these paragraphs that I’ve posted on here about the players since we’ve started the approval ratings! I just want fellow Hornets fans to read it!!

Anyways: 3.

Peja continues his slow, agonizing, painful decline right before our very eyes as the Hornets answer at small forward. His ridiculous contract and declining play have really crippled the Hornets the last two seasons. But the bottom line is, when he plays the team is noticeably better. The team was fine without Paul, but as soon as Peja started to struggle with his abdominal injury, they completely tanked and never did recover. Stojakovic’s shooting was so vital to the Hornets success the past two seasons that it hurts me as a fan to see him age and struggle as often as he has these past two seasons (especially this season).

Bah. Reopened now

Agreed totally with your comments. When Peja is healthy, this is a dangerous team. One of the three best three point shooters in league history.

Do you have a link to your initial season review?

…. Pretty much spot on IMO. Nice job!

Thanks

I usually do a report before the season, during the season and after the season on the state of the team, individual performances, outlook, etc. I’ll be able to post it here now that I found this site and I’ll get a lot more responses here than I would on CBS.

Looks like we got....

Mustapha Shakur today if the reports I’m hearing are correct. Just give us 13 minutes a game of solid play is all I ask

Move Has Been

Pretty well received from what I’ve seen. Someone posted it on a fanpost and I made the comment that I don’t know enough about him to get upset or excited. At least he’s something different from the older guys that were considered options.

Cant vote from my iPhone ....

… If I could I would give him a 2 I guess… Really a 2.5. If Peja could return to his form of 2 years ago when he was a 180 shooter , then
he would be a better value to the roster. At this point he is stealing money IMO though. I have always liked Peja and his ability to space the floor. At 6’10" he can usually get his shot over most other SF’s. I hope Peja comes back healthy… I wouldn’t mind seeing him finish his career as a Hornet , but not at what he is pulling now.
