Everytime I Think of Chris Paul and David West
I think of this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLQl3WQQoQ0&ob=av2e
"You play to win the game."
I'm Feeling An Upset!
Or at least hoping for one. Living here in San Antonio and getting the “oh, the Hornets” treatment sucks this season but an upset would help me in my talking departments. The Spurs are a deep team that’s capable of both going off from three point land and also going cold offensively. The thing the Hornets struggle most consistently with is size… something the Hornets have in quantity but not necessarily quality. I’m excited to see how Henry plays tonight and I’m hoping the Hornets can win one in the Hive again for the fans there. That victory against Boston seems so long ago now. Either way, we’ll get the same effort from the Hornets and hopefully this time it results in a victory.
Go Hornets!
"You play to win the game."
Same Here!
Do you remember the last time the Spurs visited New Orleans? Both were on winning streaks, Hornets had just set the benchmark, the New Orleans Arena was sold out, Chris Paul and West went off, team shot 12 of 15 from three, Okafor’s blocks on Splitter….. happier days indeed.

I remember that one...
Great game. That was the one with the amazing bench picture of Manu/Parker/Duncan right?
Yes
lol I’ll never forget. Hearing here locally that the Spurs may just sit Tim Duncan for a few games ala the Mavericks with Dirk Nowitzki too. Just FYI.

Ah, thanks
I saw he may be back in the lineup this morning, but hadn’t really followed up on it since. Thanks.
Yeah
I heard the same thing you did but they mentioned here on KENS5 that they’re throwing out the idea of him sitting. I’d imagine he’ll try and give it a go… just on back to back’s he may sit.

Sorry I'm late to the thread
I fell asleep watching Tim Duncan.
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
Reppin' the Lafayette Hornets fans.
Maybe tonight's the night..
we score over 100pts.
Damn it no Ayon or X :(
I think Monty plays some people in the first half, if there good then they will be played in the second, if not then someone else will play in the second half. Now hopefully no Marco or Kamen (all though not bad) in the second half.
JSmith
can now tell his future grandkids that he stuffed Tim Duncan.

Fourth Quarter
Lineup is destined to fail. Those five players should not see the floor as a unit.

Duncan ALMOST got excited about that game-winner.
I feel like the Hornets’ 14 losses have been by a total of 14 points.

Don't forget Spurs were without Ginobili
We had 6 turnovers in 4th quarter and Spurs had 1
Ballgame
Credit Tim Duncan for huge effort tonight

Spurs Without Ginobili
Still got Parker and Duncan. It’s not the same.

The point was
The Spurs have the depth to overcome adversity. Hornets don’t
Great effort by hornets tonight. But Hornets do not have any closers. Other and beget teams do.
And Kaman is still a turnover machine.

Of Course
That’s the big problem. Kept saying the same thing to my dad (who never watches the Hornets) all night in the fourth quarter. He tried to be like “well they’re right there. They’re better than their record, they just played hard ’cause it was the Spurs” and it’s hard to explain to people that THIS is what’s happened all season long.

I am glad Henry got to play he looked really good.
I mean couch said he would make his debut and boy did he!. Ayon to man that guy can ball as soon as Monty said he earned more minutes the guys has always been in there. !
Landry
Ayon got a lot of his minutes when Landry was benched. Landry’s played well. Smith played hard in the 3rd quarter as well…. never a moment for Ayon to come in tonight. That’s not what cost the team the game.

Sure
By the deadline, Landry definitely will be gone. . Kaman may be gone (hopefully) but when Landry goes, Ayon will get his minutes. Until then, Ayon’s not going to win the team any games by himself. There’s nothing wrong with being brought along slowly. And why bring up Henry and Ayon not getting in the game tonight in a two point loss if you don’t think it had any affect on the game? You and I both don’t know what would have happened either way….

Per Yahoo Sports: After talks w/Hornets, Eric Gordon tells Y! possible contract extension in hands of NBA commish Stern and he's awaiting word. Deadline Wed.
Gordon adds to Y! he is interested in re-signing & team doc says injured knee is structurally sound & bball activities can resume in 3 wks.
Just read this too
sounds like no major injury. Still have to wonder why he’s missed this much time though.
This Gordon thing is mind boggling....
The best way to understand it is like we entered a race around the world and 30 days later, we’re 3 blocks past the starting blocks waiting for a part. If we we’re still winning games, it wouldn’t matter as much but of course we’re not that lucky. Besides our FT woes, anyone else notice that we suck on fast breaks?
Ariza's
The only person we have that can finish around the rim. Aminu too but he doesn’t do anything else well so he can’t always be in the game for fast breaks.
