Derick E. Hingle-US PRESSWIRE

New Orleans Hornets forward Anthony Davis will be back in the lineup for Friday's game against the Charlotte Bobcats after dealing with the effects of a minor concussion.

Times-Picayune reporter Jimmy Smith wrote that Hornets head coach Monty Williams will reinsert Davis and fellow rookie Austin Rivers into the rotation for New Orleans. Davis missed the team's previous two games against his hometown Chicago Bulls and the Philadelphia 76ers after Rivers caught him in the side of the head with an errant elbow in the Hornets' game last Friday against the Utah Jazz.

Rivers himself has sat out since spraining his left index finger, telling Smith that the injury occurred during practice. The shooting guard out of Duke University missed the game against the 76ers.

The Hornets hive-mind will be glad to see the two talented rookies back on the floor after Philadelphia limited New Orleans to 62 points on Wednesday, the lowest in team history. Davis currently leads the team in scoring with 14.5 points per game, and makes big contributions in blocks and rebounds as well.
