Nice Game
There is no doubt in my mind that Vasquez can be a starter for us. 8 steals in 2 games and 10 assist tonight sweet, no need to mention any other stat…….(walks away). Ayon was killing it tonight. I would love to see him have a 22 shot game. Oak, Jack and Kamen will be traded tomorrow. (wishful thinking)
Gustavo Ayon
With his daily improvent desrving to stay in the starting line-up
Also so can someone explain to me just how PER works.
I thought I had it down pretty good, but when Ayon has a nice all around stat night and is in the negative…….
that's not PER
that’s +/-. It’s how many pts the team has compared to the other team when that player is in the game.
PER is player efficiency rating
Reppin' the Lafayette Hornets fans.
Not Everybody Will Like It
It’s been said around here that winning is like losing, but I still enjoy seeing this team’s efforts rewarded when they are. This team plays hard and deserves nights to feel good about that every now and then. With pretty much our four best players out tonight (Gordon, Jack, Okafor and Landry), it’s nice to see the team win. And to win in those hideous awesome Mardi Gras jerseys is nice. They don’t seem to win enough when they wear them. Something interesting to note, four of the Hornets’ five wins have come against teams with winning record (Celtics, Jazz, Magic and Nuggets). Of course, the Celtics and Magic were going through time stretches at the time, but the Hornets have had a tough stretch since day one. Just something to marinate on.
Go Hornets!

Geaux Hornets!
Forgot what a win looked like. But a dominant defensive effort carried this one home. Still have mixed feelings about, you know, winning, but it feels good. Wooo!
Don't Enjoy That Win Too Much
The tank rolls forward.
Hornets guard Eric Gordon to undergo Arthroscopic knee surgery. Be out up to six weeks.

We don't need your stinking Gordon!
Just kidding, we do. No, not really, we don’t. Until we trade Kaman, that is. Just kidding.
lol
Gordon isn’t needed until next season.

Ping pong balls rejoice
But I’m pretty worried about what’s going on with that knee. He’s going to be out for like the entire year because ….?

Good win
Good win… for a change.
Nice game by Kaman. He’s definitely showing he could be playing 20-25 minutes for a playoff bound team. This should help us in the trade negotiations.
Nice driving dunk by Aminu in the 3rd. Nice effort by Henry. He has an NBA body but a lot of holes in his game which will take time to iron out.
Very nice game by Ayon.
Pretty much every player had at least a good moment or two.
Bad news on Gordon’s knee. I really hope we don’t get stuck with him for the max next year… guy just has Brendan Roy’s NBA shadow looming over him.
as for the winnning vs. tanking debate
We have to try to win every game. There’s no way around that.
In any case, I wouldn’t count on the draft to immediately vault us out of the abyss to respectability next year.
This is a serious rebuilding probject that will unfortunately take several years.
Yes!
Let us be blind and naive!

I don't know.
IF Gordon stays, and gets healthy, there’s no reason to think one superstar rookie wouldn’t push us over the edge. Even with this line-up, we’ve been right there, every game, with a chance to win. And just couldn’t pull it out. But what if we had Gordon, Davis, and another possible contributor from the Wolves’ pick?
I don’t think it is unforeseeable that we contend next year.
So...
Okafor was out but on my fantasy team on ESPN he apparently got a steal tonight. Now thats takes talent. steal in street clothes.
