A quick recap of the latest Hornets trade news with the deadline approaching Thursday:
- It sounds like Eric Gordon's hand issue is behind him, and Gordon's "unconcerned" about the possibility of a trade. A quote from him:
"I'm not really worried about it. I've just got to go out and play my game and look forward to this week. Whatever happens, happens. It's happened to be before where I was traded. Business is business. I really don't worry about that. I'm just focused on this team.
"For any player that goes from team to team, whatever the situation is, it's all about playing basketball. And it's good to represent whatever organization you're in. I'm here. And I look forward to being here. That's that. Our team is building as one. And we'll see what goes on from here."
- From that same article, a quote from Monty Williams on how he handles impending moves:
"I always tell our guys if they have a question, they can always come to me and I'll tell them what I know. If I can't tell them, I'll tell them that. I don't like to play games when it comes to trades. They change not only your life but your family's life. Dell and I talk a little bit but I don't spend a lot of time going over it because I'm always thinking about the guys I have right now. That's the team we have and that's who I have to work with and try to get better.
"I just think guys like playing here so they don't even want to bring it up, I imagine. Nobody's asked. I'm sure when they see all those reports, it could mess with you a little bit. But if they want to know, they can come ask me and I'll tell them."
