Highs- He is a great post player, and all-around offensive player. He would be a big upgrade from anything the Bobcats have now, such as Bismack Biyombo and Brendan Haywood. Plus with the signing of Associate Coach, Patrick Ewing, he could get some great mentoring. The Bobcats started three different centers last season (Brendan Haywood, Bismack Biyombo, and Byron Mullens), and unless Jefferson was injured he would most likely be their starting center for the whole year. He would play alongside 2013 4th Overall pick, Cody Zeller who is also a very strong offensive presence.
Jefferson has a very solid mid-range jump shot that can spread the defense, and give driving lanes for players like Kemba Walker, Gerald Henderson, and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Jefferson is one of the best big men in the league, something the Bobcats have never had. This signing could improve the Bobcats a lot for years to come.
Lows- DEFENSE. Jefferson's defense is terrible. As a starting center in the league you would expect him to be a better defender. Every team he's played for's defensive rating has gone down dramatically. He can block an occasional shot because of his height, but that's about it. He is most likely overpayed but not by a lot. Although, Jefferson has never had a good defensive mentor. Ewing could help him a lot in that aspect of his game. Defense his only major weakness, although there is still much room for improvement.
