Realism vs. Optimism//Question for you all about what the FO will do...

I was surprised as anyone, that they won against the Raptors, especially without Kemba. I think we all know that the 2nd half team is who the Cats are more so than the 1st half team.

The bottom line is this...the Cats only have 4 wins against teams with winning records so far this year. FOUR! 3 of those wins are against these Raptors, because Al owns Jonas. The only other win is against the Warriors.

Other facts: Strength of Schedule is 25th out of 30. Offense 28th out of 30th. The schedule in the 2nd half is brutal. The only real relief comes from April when we play teams like Philly, Orlando, Boston, Cleveland...who will all be tanking.

My point, is while I can respect the FO is making a run at this since they are in 8th or 9th...why don't they just get there is nothing to prove? What good is it to make it then not win a game against IND or MIA? What good is it to lose your 1st round pick to Chicago?

I know MJ and company don't believe in tanking and their luck has been awful, but there is nothing to win in my view by winning now. They have come within 3 wins total of all their wins from last year. They've won 18 at the half way point, they won 21 last year. There is nothing to prove to me. You have won the fan base into believing the team is on the right track.

My question is...if the team really goes on a skid with Kemba out (and they will against Clips, Bulls, then west coast trip @ Den, Phoenix, Lakers, Warriors, Spurs, Dallas) all before the All Star break--will the front office realize the wisdom to pull the plug? Or are they too stubborn and stay the course?

I think Kemba may be limited even when he is back. He relies on his ability to cut on those ankles. Pull the plug.
