Ideal offseason

We have taken some big steps this season, and I know we will continue to grow into a contender when we become the hornets. Here are a few moves I would like to see going into next season. First, Here are a few assumptions: We will retain 2 draft pics and go to the playoffs. We will be swept, (no doubt lol) but that will be ok because we will make some good strides and our young core will gain some important playoff experience. Thus, we will retain 2 draft picks.

Free Agency:

Carmelo Anthony: Call me crazy but I think its a real possibility that Melo comes to Charlotte. I think the Jordan/Cliff/Ewing combination can keep him in check. Last year's knicks team showed that Melo can be a focal point of a championship caliber team. Melo did the big market thing, now its time for him to focus on winning a championship. There aren't many contending teams out there that would have a spot for Melo on their team, since he needs such a big share of the offense. This will be Jordan's signature move as the owner of the hornets.

Emeka Okafor: I would love to see Emeka back in Charlotte. Biz has shown little to know signs of improvement since coming to the league and we need a rim protector.

Ben Gordan + 1st Rounder for Evan Turner : 6ers are tanking and we should take advantage. There will be no one available at the end of the 1st round that has the skillset of Evan. He will be an excellent 2nd option behind Melo.

1st round(Detroit's pick): Marcus Smart - I think Marcus will fall within the top-10. He still has a lot to work on, but I love his leadership and pg skills. I think that Kemba would be a more effective 6th man.

2nd Round: PJ Hairston - He is a nucklehead but hes tearing it up in the Dleague. I think he will be a JR Smith type player that can light it up off the bench. Low risk, high reward pick for the Hornets.

PG - Smart, Kemba, Pargo

SG - Turner, Hendo, PJ Hairston

SF - MKG, Taylor

PF - Melo, McBob, Tolliver,

C - Big Al, Zeller, Okafor, Biz
