With their last pick of the draft, the Hornets went with a point guard in Semaj Christon out of Xavier, filling a need at the backup spot.
The pick, selected by the Miami Heat but owed to the Hornets in the P.J. Hairston trade involving the No. 24 pick, was then apparently traded to Oklahoma City as the Boston Globe's Gary Washburn reports. No return in the deal has been announced yet.

This doesn't necessarily mean he will be the first player off the bench at point guard. They can still add a veteran at point guard, a move I'd expect considering Clifford favors experience. It wouldn't squeeze Christon out of the roster, and could help him develop.
On an individual level, Christon is quite athletic and is a terrific ballhandler.
I don't know much more about Christon, but head over to Big East Coast Bias for some deeper knowledge than one sentence.
