Hornets Summer League game 5: vs Pelicans

Ronald Martinez

The Hornets got their first win in Summer League competition led by better scoring across the board. Cody Zeller, assuredly buoyed by the hot sports takes about his first game of the summer, hit each of his shot attempts; P.J. Hairston lessened the impact of continued poor shooting by getting to the line and hitting some threes; Noah Vonleh had his best offensive showing yet. It was a nice return from the dregs of poor play that the team started out with.

New Orleans lacks the big name talent, but they still have some players who could give Charlotte some trouble. Russ Smith and Courtney Fells can score, which will pose a challenge for P.J. Hairston to stay focused. Patric Young will probably start opposite Vonleh, and it will probably difficult for Vonleh to deal with Young's chiseled strength, which you can see in the photo above.

Alright. Have fun folks.
