Hornets247 on Byron Scott
Ryan's take on Scott at 247 is worth a read. The best line in my mind:
"Is Byron a closer - or is he a starter? Is his best skillset taking poor teams and turning them into contenders, but in general being unable to finish the deal?"
When I was writing my story on Byron, this was something I came across many times as well. Byron certainly did implement a terrific offense, catering to the specific skills of Paul, West, and Chandler. But as defenses evolved, this offense grew less efficient. Whether this is something he can rectify in 2009-2010 is open to question.
