Bah. Losing sucks. Let's talk about something more pleasant.
Last season, the Bobcats were one of many teams that used Kanye's "Stronger" as the introduction music.
There's an obvious appeal there. The song was a huge hit and also has lyrics that are plainly applicable to basketball. Work it, make it, do it, makes us harder, better, faster, stronger. Work it harder, do it faster, makes us stronger.
This season, there's a new song that, without seeing all the intros, I suspect will sweep the NBA, at least during the first half. I got word the Knicks used it in their intro, the Cavs used it last night, and I'll be mildly shocked if the Bobcats don't use Young Jeezy's "I Put On For My City". (Clean version, but possibly still NSFW.)
The refrain is tribal and a rallying cry. In context, it's not quite appropriate, but it's not hard to snip out the refrain and loop it.
