It's Martin Luther King, Jr., Day. Fulfilling the dream is an ongoing process.
The best karaoke night I've ever had was spent just outside Sacramento, at the Streets of London Pub in Folsom. (Yes, the same Folsom as Folsom Prison Blues.) Some dude sang a System of a Down song. Another dude sang a Fall Out Boy song. My buddy, Eileen, and I sang "All These Things That I've Done" by The Killers. And then Eileen's mother took the stage in a pink sweater and brought the house down with her rendition of "Hell's Bells". I doubt I'll ever again see a fifty-something lady screaming into the mic, "This one's for Raider Nation! There's always a tomorrow!" before suddenly becoming inhabited by Brian Johnson's voice and nailing the song perfectly.
