I loved seeing what you guys came up with for the t-shirt designs. All of them made me smile. Here's a slideshow of many of the designs that flooded my inbox.
But I promised to pick two winners, so... congratulations to PoAshton for winning First Prize with this concept:
For a full-size look, see it here. I think I love this so much because it's reminiscent of the logo in the upper left hand corner and the logo on the old site. Plus, it sort of, kind of, literalizes the blog's punny name. This exact image probably wouldn't work for a shirt, but the concept is striking, and I'm going to work with our t-shirt folks to see what we can do with it.
The second place winner didn't leave a pseudonym, so I'll refer to him/her as T.
For a full sized view, click here and here. In a very different way, T emphasized simplicity in three submissions, but underneath the simplicity are some clever subtleties, such as melding the Charlotte skyline with the outline of North Carolina (I'm a sucker for state outlines), and the shadows of some poor soul getting dunked on.
Again, thank you to everyone who sent in designs. I'll be emailing winners.
