The Former Official Roommate of Rufus on Fire is fond of pointing out that franchise ownership in the NFL virtually guarantees profits, and ownership in MLB is particularly difficult because the economics are stacked against every team not in New York, Los Angeles, or Boston. But NBA ownership? Even though there's less parity in the NBA than in the two other major sports leagues, the reasons for that don't appear to have as much to do with circumstance as management quality.
I maintain that owning an NBA team would be the most fun, simply because there are so few elements involved, and I'd feel much more confident meddling in player operations.
But you're probably different. Would you rather own an NFL, MLB, or NBA team?
