The worst you could say is that the Bobcats had no answer for Blake Griffin. While true, the good news is the Cats didn't quit, and even though they were down 25 points in the second half, they played hard and prompted Vinny Del Negro to yank the Clippers' reserves and reinsert starters in the fourth quarter. Ultimately, the Clips' early lead was too much to overcome, and the Cats ended up losing, 103-88.
Griffin scored 24 points on 23 attempts, and pulled down 10 rebounds. Gerald Henderson probably had the best game for Charlotte, scoring 14 points on 6 attempts. Nazr Mohammed and Matt Carroll also played admirably in garbage time.
So the Bobcats won't go undefeated on the road trip. That's okay. The Clips are the best team the Cats have played so far on the west coast swing, and they might be better than the Jazz, who are scheduled for Monday night. We saw a great effort from the reserves, and it's just as well the starters got limited minutes and should be well-rested for Monday.
