Game Overview: Dear back-to-backs, I hate you. OK, I had to get that out of my system.

Let's start with the Knicks first. They're in a complete free-fall. For some reason, people are surprised that they're not world-beaters. I don't understand that. They traded just about all of their depth for Carmelo. And considering they play next to no defense, to win consistently, they need Chauncey Billups, Melo and Amar'e Stoudemire to be on their game every night. But that's usually just not going to happen. And when that doesn't happen, the Knicks need their depth to step up - except they don't really have any.Toney Douglas is playing better, but still has concerns with decision making. Landry Fields is a versatile starting shooting guard, though he won't score much. But he defends, rebounds and shoots a good percentage.

The Bobcats are once again probably going to be with out Jack and Tyrus (though I haven't heard anything definite) but as last night showed, the Bobcats can still win if they put in a full effort. They can't expect to give anything less and win. As you can probably tell by now, I'm not the best at predictions, but I see McGuire starting on Carmelo for Dom's defense advantages over Cunningham. Livingston and White will both need to have good nights offensively and White will probably guard Stoudemire for much of the night. I think Kwame also will have a decent night, matched up against Ronny Turiaf.

Key Matchup: Boris Diaw vs Amar'e Stoudemire - The Bobcats need Boris to be aggressive on offense, posting up and spreading the Knicks' defense with his range. Diaw has to step up his pick 'n roll defense and keep up his good isolation and post defense.

Side Note: I have a bit of trouble believing Derrick Brown can't get playing time in New York. I mean, he actually plays decent defense and he's not awful on offense.
