Half-time report: Bobcats 56, Wizards 42

The Bobcats are leading the Wizards in their first preseason game, 56-42. While the Wizards are depleted, the Bobcats have nevertheless come out strong.

Look, we don't have video or audio for this game. This report will be pretty darn basic.

Notable stats

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (12 minutes): 8 points (2-3 from the field, 4-6 from the line), 4 rebounds, 1 steal, 2 turnovers, 2 fouls. He had two dunks off of defensive plays, and according to Rick Bonnell, guarded fellow rookie Bradley Beal (8 points, 3-6) for a while.
Gerald Henderson (18 minutes): 15 points (6-10 from the field including 1-2 from 3, 2-5 from the line), 2 assists. Same old Hendo. That three he made came with 4 seconds left in the first quarter, if that means anything.
Kemba Walker (11 minutes): 7 points (3-4 from the field including 1-1 from 3), 2 boards, an assist, 2 steals, and only one turnover. Not a bad line. From what we've heard, he's looked pretty selective and patient.
Ben Gordon (12 minutes): 8 points (3-4 from the field, 2-2 from the line), , , , WAIT. THAT'S IT!? Seriously, this guy scores. That's all he seems to do.
Bismack Biyombo (12 minutes): 3 rebounds. That's it. Took a while for Dunlap to throw Biz in, which surprised me. But hey, at least he got minutes!

Tyrus Thomas (11 minutes): 5 points (0-1 from the field, 5-6 from the line), one rebound, one assist, one steal, two blocks. Yup, he's playing pretty well. I'd like to see more boards, but we're hearing that he's been aggressive, controlled, and active. PLEASE STAY, THIS TYRUS THOMAS.

Of note: Gana Diop played 9 minutes, and by all accounts didn't look terrible. I don't believe it.
