Now without backcourt foundation piece Cory Higgins, Michael Jordan knew he had to reach out to his team to try to instill the superstar confidence in someone else in his absence. And so he visited the Bobcats' practice, taking on Gerald Henderson and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist in the post.
Now the Bobcats will try to capitalize on this greatness via osmosis turning around quickly for a game against the Los Angeles Clippers, who come to Charlotte on the tail end of a back-to-back. Last night, the Clippers narrowly defeated the Bulls in a late game, so perhaps they'll be a bit tired tonight.
The Clippers still have their very strong frontcourt with Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan, who are forces on the glass. That should be scary enough for the Bobcats, who will undoubtedly give up a king's ransom in second chance points to the Clippers. Chris Paul is also a huge cause for concern as he is still Chris Paul, capable of picking apart defenders and creating passing angles that most other human beings cannot. With Chris Paul running the offense and creating ball movement, I can only wonder how discombobulated the Bobcats' defensive rotations will be.
The Clippers are also getting solid contributions from Jamal Crawford and Eric Bledsoe off the bench, who can also put heavy strains on the Bobcats' perimeter rotations. Great.
