Charlotte Bobcats' power forward Byron Mullens is currently out with sprained left ankle, and a timeline for his return has not been set. According to Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer, "[Mullens] is not coming back anytime soon."
The injury occurred on Saturday, when the Bobcats visited the Denver Nuggets. Mullens came down hard on his left leg, but fans were relieved to find out that there was no fracture or bone damage. Still, Charlotte will likely be without its starting power forward for a few weeks.
It is not clear how coach Mike Dunlap plans to make up for the 11.6 points and 7.8 rebounds that Mullens is currently averaging. Fans will get an idea of Dunlap's plan when the Bobcats take on the Miami Heat on Wednesday night. Possible replacements include Bismack Biyombo, Brendan Haywood, and Jeff Adrien. Hakim Warrick, who averages almost 12 minutes per game, could also see a substantial increase in playing time.
