Bobcats stand pat as 3 p.m. trade deadline passes

With trade rumors at fever pitch, the Bobcats ended up passing up all offers on the table and moving onward in the season without adding and subtracting any pieces.

D.J. Augustin seemed to be the guy most involved in discussions, but news quieted and he ultimately stays with the Bobcats for the rest of the season. There was a very vague rumor about something with Oklahoma City, but it proved to be nothing more than just chitchat.

Boris Diaw may have survived as a player in a Bobcats uniform, but it's highly unlikely he isn't bought out soon after the recent reports of his agent and him requesting a buyout or trade.

I'm OK with this; not loving it, not hating it. It's better than rushing into anything that would needlessly add a ton of salary, but there could have been something out there that could have improved the Bobcats. Maybe it was pulled off the table. Maybe there wasn't anything. Who knows.

What we do know is that the Bobcats' path continues onward unchanged. Nothing gained, nothing lost.
