Bobcats interested in calling up Chris Douglas-Roberts from D-League

Per ESPN's Marc Stein, the Bobcats are interested in calling up Chris Douglas-Roberts from the Texas Legends.

Douglas-Roberts is averaging 19 points per game on the following shooting percentages: 47.7 percent from the field and 50 percent from three (with 3.1 attempts per game).

He had been a journeyman wing play for years with the Nets and Bucks before going overseas in signing with Italy's Virtus Bologna during the lockout. After the lockout, Douglas-Roberts tried to make his return to the NBA but ended up only playing six games for the Dallas Mavericks in a subpar stint in which he shot 5-for-14 before being waived.

The Bobcats could certainly use someone with an outside shot to help mitigate their perimeter shooting problems, especially while Jeff Taylor is injured. Heck, any depth help would be much appreciated with starter Michael Kidd-Gilchrist out, too. The Bobcats found success in stopping the Warriors without their top two small forwards, but they can't expect to sustain such success on the overextension of Gerald Henderson's abilities offensively and defensively to cover the 2 and 3 spot.

Any thoughts?
