Charlotte Bobcats vs Washington Wizards game preview

These two teams squared off a week ago, and the results were less encouraging than the first two outcomes of the season series. The Bobcats won those two but Washington easily took the third, beating Charlotte by 17 points.

I don't expect much different this time around either.

John Wall's return from injury makes the Wizards much more dynamic on offense with his ability to get to the rim, to open passing lanes and with his court vision. Washington also has a pretty solid starting frontcourt with Nene and Emeka Okafor making a duo that will likely hurt the Bobcats all night.

Martell Webster has also been playing well of late, averaging nearly 22 points over the past five games. And Bradley Beal's back to add a scoring punch off the bench.

The Wizards have won three straight games, and the Bobcats have lost two straight. The Wizards are a strong defensive team, and hold their opponents to one of the lowest shooting percentages in the league. The Bobcats will have to control themselves to get high percentage shots and to get into transition to take Washington out of their game.

With Charlotte's poor defensive rotations and inability to challenge great rebounders, look for Martell Webster and Bradley Beal to have a solid game from behind the three-point arc. I also expect Nene and Okafor to get more than their fair share of offensive rebounds and second-chance points.
