Three Bobcats in SI's top 10 dunks of the season

New, comments

It's not very often a team has two DOTY candidates. This year, the Charlotte Bobcats had three, according to Sports Illustrated.

If you've been floating around Twitter today, I'm sure you noticed that Sports Illustrated released their top 10 dunks of the year. This list is pretty exclusive -- only the best, most eye-popping dunks make it, and with there only being ten spots, most teams are lucky to get one dunk mentioned.

Well, the Charlotte Bobcats have three.

First up, this wonderful poster by rookie Michael Kidd-Gilchrist clocked in at number eight. We've always known that MKG finishes strong in the paint, but this dunk showed just how dynamic he can be.

"That...had a meaning behind it."

Next up...Byron Mullens at number five. When this dunk happened, I almost wanted to stop watching the game. It just didn't make sense to me. Mullens took a bad three, which is normal, but then chased his rebound and threw it down over the Portland Trailblazers' LaMarcus Aldridge.

"I think I'm gonna try this and see if it works."

And, at number three...Henderson on Dwight. Another dunk that made me want to stop watching basketball. This dunk is nasty, and if you watch it in slow motion, it makes even less sense and becomes even more amazing.

"I thought it was against the rules to use a trampoline."

What do you guys think about Sports Illustrated's list? Any Bobcats dunks missing?
