Though rumors of trades or interest in other picks swirled days and hours ahead of the momentous event, the Bobcats took the talented big man to help their frontcourt.
Though Zeller's name has been lingering in the later part of the lottery predictions, the Bobcats jumped at the opportunity to grab him at No. 4. Coming out of Indiana, Zeller has an array of post moves on offense and an OK jump shot for his size. His wingspan and ability to muscle in the paint worried some scouts before the draft, but I guess this didn't scare off the Bobcats. He's by far the most complete big man prospect at this time, sporting a 62.3 percent true shooting percentage with good rebounding numbers and a solid ability to get to the free-throw line. Charlotte really needs his offensive proclivity as a low-post threat and he should help Kemba Walker on that end of the court to balance the offense.
