The Bobcats released a statement today announcing the team has signed free agent forward James Southerland.
Southerland, a forward out of Syracuse, went undrafted after completing his four seasons with the Orange. He played his most minutes in his senior year, with about 30 per game for an average of 13.3 points and 39.8 percent shooting from behind the arc and 45 percent field goal shooting. He took a great number of threes with about six attempts per game.
The Bobcats had room to spare with the signing as they had an open roster spot and room on the depth chart at small forward with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Jeff Taylor as the other players at that position.
