UPDATE: 10:21 PM MKG has a rib contusion and will be listed as Day to Day. Glad to hear it wasn't something more severe.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will miss the rest of tonight's game against the New York Knicks. He is off to get a CT Scan.
@hornets #MKG is out remainder of game. Leaving MSG to get CT scan

This was a strange development throughout the game. After playing some great basketball, MKG took a hard fall battling for a loose ball. There was a very loud thump when he hit the ground, and he remained on the ground for a little while. After awhile, he stood up, and looked okay except for a mark on his arm/shoulder area. He even played effective, with some good offense, and even better defense. But then Kidd-Gilchrist came out of the game.
#MKG just went in the back with ast. Athletic trainer

I've just been told MKG is getting a CT scan of his chest
— Stephanie Ready (@StephanieReady) November 3, 2014
A CT scan of MKG's chest could be a multitude of things. Looking at his ribs, lungs, etc. I'm not sure what they're looking for, but I think I speak for everybody when I wish him a fast recovery of whatever may be ailing him.
